<div>Dear friends,
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>On Friday morning, Beckett Wernig was walking to the bus stop when he was hit by a car as he crossed the street. He sustained multiple injuries, including a fractured hip, wrist, a broken nose, and several teeth knocked out. He was life-flighted to the med center where he had surgery on Friday evening to repair his fractures. He is upbeat despite this serious trauma, and the Wernigs already feel the love from the outpouring of well-wishes for his full recovery.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>As you can imagine, this will be a very long road for their family as Beckett will have to be in a wheelchair for some time while his hip heals, and he can then begin to rehab from this unthinkable accident. We all know how much Beckett loves the sport of swimming - so being out of the water will be especially difficult.

</div>
<div>For the short term, we wanted to collect funds to help alleviate any financial burdens they are facing. We know any amount will be greatly appreciated.

<div>After 83 days at Houston Methodist Hospital, Steph and Allan got the call that Allan would be receiving his gift of new lungs!” Allan was in surgery yesterday for 5 hours, and the Dr. was very pleased with the results. He said the lungs were pristine, and he couldn’t be happier with how things went! We are all so grateful and happy with this amazing news, but Steph and Allan still have a long road ahead! After three months in the hospital, the medical bills are starting to roll in and it is yet to be determined when Allan will return to work. We have had lots of friends and family reaching out and asking how to help so I thought I would update everyone and send this back out! Please feel free to pass on and share! ❤️
