What we are currently doing
Since May 2025, we have done dozens of clean-ups across Kentucky (and Florida). Many of these have been recorded, and we have been releasing the backlog of them (summer was a great opportunity to focus on doing the maximum number of clean-ups) to our YouTube and other social media pages in the form of Good Reports.
We record these efforts as proof that we are living out what we say, and also to show that it is nothing complicated or out of reach. Anyone can do it, and it is surprising how much of a difference even one cleanup makes. When people see it for themselves, they realize they can join in too. You can see a map and video recording of each cleanup here: Good Reports
Small steps
Right now the goal is simply to cover the basic costs of what we are already doing. That means keeping the website online, paying small service fees, and getting our own equipment instead of relying on borrowed gear.
Where the money will go (rough estimates):
Filing fees to become a 501(c)(3) nonprofit: about $600
Website domain and hosting: about $150 per year
A/V equipment (currently borrowed) for filming and editing: $1,500+
Meetup subscription to organize community events: about $200 per year
Social media and other small premium tools: around $500 per year
Other small costs that keep things running
Bigger steps
Looking ahead, we would like to travel across the United States in an EV to do clean-ups in new places, host meetups, and lead workshops. The goal is not only to spread the message but to roll up our sleeves and lead by example, showing how much can be done when we make every step count.
Closing
We are not aiming for big budgets or flashy extras. These are simply the building blocks that keep the project alive and moving forward. Every bit of support helps, and we are grateful for it. Together, these baby steps will grow into something that makes a real impact in our communities.
