<div>Luke Oakenshield is the homeless veteran who started the viral GoFundMe for Walt Z and helped raise a quarter million dollars for Walt while Luke himself was homeless. Luke is a friend who has been carrying more than anyone should have to carry alone. After dealing with relationship issues and being out of work for a while, Luke is now homeless and sleeping in his car. The reality is that he is in a very difficult place and needs support right now.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I had to loan Luke $20 just three days ago so he could move his car, which is also his home right now. Even in the middle of his own struggles, Luke has a good heart and thinks of others first. He was more worried about Walt getting bullied than drawing attention to what he is going through himself. Luke also struggles with PTSD.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This fundraiser is being created to help Luke get back on his feet and begin rebuilding some stability in his life. Donations will go toward housing for himself, getting settled, securing more reliable transportation, and paying off debt that is holding him back. Support in these areas could help relieve some of the immediate pressure he is facing while he works toward a more stable future.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Luke has been going through these struggles quietly, and asking for help is not easy. Any donation, no matter the amount, would mean a great deal. If you are not able to give, sharing this fundraiser would also help. Thank you for showing Luke kindness, support, and compassion during this difficult time.

<div>Hello, my name is Cheyenne and I am the niece of the woman who was paralyzed at LTL (Louder Than Life) by the person who fell out of a tree during the Knocked Loose performance. We are setting up this GoFundMe as a means to gather donations for Jamie and her husband Conor, who is currently in the hospital suffering from a severed spine who will most likely never be able to walk again. All donations will go toward her and her medical bills, anything is greatly appreciated.

<div>The Story:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I’m writing this because, after eight years of trying to "tough it out" on my own, I’ve finally hit a wall and then some.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I moved to the US from the UK in late 2018, fully legal and finally closing the gap on my long distance relationship. But due to a massive error by my wedding officiant—who didn't file my marriage license—I ended up in a legal nightmare. Through no fault of my own, I was detained by ICE for FIVE weeks because of a tiny three-week overstay I wasn't even aware was an issue because I married within the 90 day limit.
</div>
<div>Since then, it’s been a constant uphill battle to work and live here without issue. I’ve been fighting for my residency and they confiscated my passport at my detainment. Subsequently I haven't been able to
</div><img alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/92582243_1780260266920384_r.png" width="100%" />
<div>leave the US or see my family and friends back home since 2018. Even when I finally got my Green card in 2024 I just couldn’t afford to travel home.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The health side of things hasn't been much kinder. While navigating all the legal stress and being uninsured for over six years, I’ve dealt with a cancerous gallbladder (luckily caught early) and ongoing issues and several small surgeries for stents with my liver disease (PSC).
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I’ve managed to keep my head above water, but the costs have been eye-watering—over $40,000 and my life savings into minus figures.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Why I’m asking for help now:
</div>
<div>In October 2025, I was diagnosed with a meningioma—a brain tumour about the size of a large lemon. I’m scheduled for surgery in April 2026.
</div>
<div>The recovery is going to be a long one (about six months), and for the first time, I won’t be able to work to cover my bills and medical co-pays. I’m honestly just exhausted. My mental health has been so bad that I closed my old Facebook not wanting to admit that my fairytale was in fact a complete nightmare. My wedding already felt very lonely and then all this. I just isolated myself to just deal with this myself.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Now I just want to focus on getting through this surgery without the constant stress of how I’m going to pay for the next thing and the next thing. The American health system is ridiculously expensive and I miss the NHS!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Once I’ve recovered from the surgery and have my health back, my absolute priority is finally, finally getting back to the UK to see my family. It’s been nearly seven years, and I just need to feel safe and settled again. Hopefully I will be cleared to drive again and fly sooner rather than later post op.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you’ve crossed paths with me at school, at work, or just in passing, any help—even just a share—would mean the world.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I just want to get back to feeling myself and the person I was before America broke me into a shell of myself. I live in fear here as an immigrant and now worried I may have another stroke. I cannot work or drive as it is with my right eye permanently closed and not working.

So much for that Happy Ever After - My legal and health hell

<div>As many of you know, our family is devastated by the loss of 12-year-old Mileena along with her mother Felisha and baby sister Ava in the Plainville tragedy. While we are grateful that her funeral costs have been taken care of, my brother now faces an even harder journey: learning how to live in a world without his daughter. The last thing a grieving father should have to worry about is how to pay the rent or keep the lights on while he is unable to work. We want to ensure he doesn't have to rush back to work before he is ready. so he can take the time necessary to process this heartbreak. We are starting this fund to provide him with the financial 'breathing room' he needs to step away from daily responsibilities and focus solely on healing and honoring Mileena’s memory. Your generosity will directly fund the time he needs to grieve without the pressure of a ticking clock.

<div>On 2/11/25 the world lost a bright light. Louie was an amazing father, partner, son, &amp; friend. If you knew Louie you knew he was always laughing or smiling and that smile was contagious. He would do anything for anyone without any hesitation. Please help us lighten the financial burden on Desiree and louies family as they travel these hard times and grieve. <div>In spring of 2021, our life as we knew it drastically changed. We learned that our beloved Emma, our tender 3 1/2 year old, had been diagnosed with the rare and formidable CLN2 Batten Disease. Emma was born a healthy baby girl, but at the age of 3 she started showing signs of speech regression. It was soon after, at the age of 3 1/2, that she suffered her first seizure. This landed our family in the ER for the night, where Emma had lots of testing. We left the following morning after completing genetic testing. We did not anticipate, much less expect what was to come next.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>A rare and fatal diagnosis that robs children of their childhood….
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>CLN2 Batten Disease, a rare genetic disorder, exacts its toll on motor skills, speech development, and cognitive abilities as it attacks the nervous system. The prognosis includes the gradual loss of acquired skills, worsening intellectual disability, and behavioral challenges. Eventually, it will take our daughter’s life, as there is still no cure, and the life expectancy is 6-12 years old. Basically, she is slowly losing brain cells.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Emma, our brave little soul, gets an enzyme replacement therapy named Brinuera. Every 2 weeks, our journey leads us to Children's Hospital specialty center in Dallas, where Emma receives a prolonged infusion through a surgically placed port into her brain. She sits there in a hospital room for 7-8 hours twice a month. This intricate process aims to replenish the deficient enzyme, tpp1, a gene that her fragile body cannot produce on its own. ERT is not a cure, but rather a valiant effort to stall the march of battens, to extend the reprieve from its relentless grip.…. We are caught racing against time and gripping onto hope.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Raising a child with special needs is expensive. Plain and simple. We have learned the hard way just how broken our medical system truly is. On our own, we can’t afford safety beds, safety chairs, bath seats, wheel chairs, constant diapers and wipes, medications, and the medical debt. Every donation blesses our family in such a huge way. As we count our blessings, and pray for a miracle, we want to extend our families thankfulness to you for helping us while we are in a desperate situation. God bless you.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Please pray healing miracles over our children with CLN2. Please follow Emma’s story across all social media, and help me find support for this rare cause. ❤️‍

Love To Emma- Beating a Rare Childhood Disease

<div>My name is Matt Maass and I work with Steve. We (his coworkers) are raising funds to replace his pickup truck that he selflessly used as a shield to block oncoming traffic for a vehicle that had broken down in the middle of the freeway with a young family inside. KSL News did a story about Steve linked <a href="https://ksltv.com/659000/mechanic-who-maintains-dps-rescue-helicopter-credited-for-saving-people-stopped-on-freeway/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">here</a>. And here is the story provided by his immediate supervisor Jeremy Wilde:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>While on his way home from work on the evening of June 10, 2024 at approximately 6:30 P.M., Steve noticed several cars swerving out of the way (but not slowing down) around a stopped car in the 3rd lane on I-215 southbound around 4100 south. As he approached closer, he could see 2 small children in the back seat of the vehicle who were unbuckled and bouncing around while the driver was turned around in her seat and talking to them. Fearing that the speeding and swerving cars may impact this vehicle and severely injure or kill this young family, he started slowing down with his hazards on and ultimately stopped 15 yards behind this vehicle to provide a buffer/safety zone for the young family, should there be an impact. 45 seconds after he came to a stop and while on the phone with DPS (highway patrol) dispatch to get help (only one ring before the following event), he was rear-ended by a vehicle doing 65+ mph (and that vehicle was rear ended by yet another vehicle) and subsequently pushed just barely into the corner of the parked vehicle that he was trying to protect (only a small, glancing blow to the stopped vehicle and all occupants were unharmed). Steve was told by the responding DPS officers that his actions saved the occupants of the vehicle which he intended to help/protect. Steve's Dodge Ram 2500 was a complete loss and Steve incurred a black eye and multiple bruises from his seatbelt. Steve was taken to the hospital for further evaluation and miraculously only suffered a black eye, chest bruising, and overall general aches and pains associated with being in an automobile accident. Steve is the type of gentleman that will do anything for anybody and always puts others' well being, even complete strangers, before his. There is no doubt in my mind that his heroic actions saved this young family. To Steve, it was no big deal, and something that he would not (and would never) hesitate to do for someone again. Being kind and generous is his normal state of mind.
