I am reaching out for help because I am at risk of losing custody of my child to the state, and I need a lawyer to fight for us. For the past two years, I have done everything possible to meet the requirements set for me. I completed my service plan, took extra classes, and participated in programs like parenting class, safety first, and just cares—all on my own initiative. The state only asked for drug and alcohol programs, but I went above and beyond, hoping to show my dedication and cover every base for my little girl. I am an ex addict, but I got clean for my daughter because she is the most important person in my life. I have worked hard to create a stable home, and I am now a manager at my job. I have a two-bedroom home ready for her, and I have done everything I can to prove that I am capable and committed to being a good parent. Despite all my efforts, the state still wants to take my rights away, and I am facing this challenge alone. With the current economy, I simply cannot afford a lawyer, even though I have done everything else to secure my child's future.
