Stacie, Logan, Oakley and River are not just friends, they are family. Our bond is even stronger than blood, and I am so grateful to have them in my life. If you know Stacie and Logan, you know how deeply they love their family and how excited they were to welcome baby River into the world. What they did not expect was an extended NICU stay filled with uncertainty, long hospital days, countless tests, consultations, and waiting for answers. Right now, their days are being spent at the hospital by River’s side while also trying to care for Oakley and navigate the emotional weight that comes with having a baby in the NICU. As many parents know, this experience is physically, mentally, and emotionally exhausting. We are starting this fundraiser to help ease some of the financial stress during this difficult season so Stacie and Logan can focus fully on their family and on baby River’s care. Logan only has one week of paid leave remaining, and as a small business owner, Stacie does not have access to paid maternity leave. Between time away from work, mounting medical expenses, hospital meals, travel back and forth, childcare needs, and the unpredictability of an extended NICU stay, the financial burden adds up quickly.
