I wanted to reach out and say thank you to all of you who have donated. It's been super helpful to actually do real grocery shopping trips and to not worry about money. I was also able to set up payment plans on some of my bills. And although 6 thousand in donations seems like a ton of money, I am 25 thousand dollars in the hole now from this stage 4 breast cancer, and that debt will continue to increase for the rest of my life. It's sure tough to live with and raise a family too. Thank you again, everyone! I wanna be here forever!
I’m Allison, and I’m creating this fundraiser for myself and my family as we continue fighting my stage 4 breast cancer. I was diagnosed almost two years ago, and since then our lives have been centered around ongoing treatment, including chemo, radiation, and everything that comes with them. We are a hardworking family, and asking for help does not come easily. But after nearly two years of treatment, the bills have piled up beyond what we can manage on our own. I now have about $20,000 in medical bills in collections, and while I make payments on the ones I can afford, the rest are simply too much for me to keep up with. On top of the medical debt, the time I’ve had to miss for treatments has reduced my income by about $10,000 last year, and the same is continuing this year. At the same time, Seth and I are doing our best to support his two children, who are my soon-to-be stepchildren, while also keeping up with everyday household expenses. The need is ongoing, because treatment-related costs, medical bills, and lost income continue month after month. Your support will help us cover medical bills, treatment costs, and the day-to-day expenses that keep our family going during this overwhelming time. If you’re able, recurring donations would make a real difference by helping us keep up with these continuing needs, and one-time gifts are deeply appreciated too. Even if it’s just $1, anything truly helps. Thank you so much for your kindness, support, and care for my family.
