Hi everyone, my name is Alicia. I’m reaching out today with a heavy heart to ask for help for my husband, Jeffrey, and our three children.
A Sudden Turn of Events
Back in April 2025, we thought Jeffrey was simply dealing with another diverticulitis flare-up. After a drainage tube was inserted and complications arose, what was supposed to be a routine surgical removal turned into a 9-hour emergency procedure.
That was the day our lives changed forever. The surgeon sat me and our three children down to deliver the news no family is ever prepared for: Jeffrey has cancer!!!
He also has a ostomy bag
The Battle So Far
The cancer had already spread to his colon, bladder, liver, and lungs. Because of the physical toll of the disease and the intensive treatment required, Jeffrey lost his job in appliance delivery.
The Financial Gap: We faced a grueling 6-month wait for disability to begin.
The Insurance Struggle: Jeffrey was without insurance until October 2025, causing hospital and household bills to pile up mountain-high. Also fighting with the medical supply company to get his supplies for his ostomy stuff having to pay out of pocket for things his insurance pays for
Ongoing Treatment: As of January 2026, Jeffrey has completed 14 rounds of chemotherapy and still going. Doctors have informed us that he will remain on some form of chemotherapy maintenance for the rest of his life.
How You Can Help
Jeffrey is a fighter, but the financial burden of this journey is more than any family can carry alone. We are asking for donations to help cover:
Unpaid medical expenses from his period without insurance.
Daily living expenses and bills while we navigate his long-term care.
Support for our three children during this incredibly difficult time.
If you aren't able to donate, please consider sharing our story. Every share brings us one step closer to the stability Jeffrey needs to focus on his health.
We appreciate every prayer, every share, and every donation more than words can say. Thank you for standing with the Jeffrey and our family.
