I am fundraising for my goddaughter, A.J., also known as Arlene Joyce Soriano, who is in the Philippines and urgently needs help with medical care and basic living expenses.
<br />
<br />
 In August, A.J. had to go on medical leave because she was suffering from debilitating headaches, exhaustion, and panic attacks. A CT scan showed a tumor on her pituitary gland, and an MRI later confirmed it. She is now waiting for a consultation with a neurosurgeon to discuss her treatment plan, but she cannot afford that next step. The MRI alone cost more than $700 USD, and she currently has no salary coming in.
<br />
<br />
 This has caused significant stress and worry for A.J. and our family. She is the main source of support for her mother, grandmother, and disabled aunt. She needs the consultation right away so she can begin treatment and find out what the full cost of care will be.
<br />
<br />
 The funds raised will be sent to A.J. to help cover her living expenses, the neurosurgeon consultation, and the treatment that follows. Because she is unable to work right now, this is also an ongoing need. Your donations would literally be life saving and mean so much to me and AJ’s family! <br />
<br />
 Please consider donating or sharing this fundraiser to support A.J. through this difficult time. Any help will bring her closer to getting the specialist care she needs and easing the financial pressure she is facing.

<div>City Island people thank you for helping me reach my past goal. I still need your help to raise funds for feeding feral cats. Right now there are 13 cats at Orchard Beach that depend on me to feed them everyday. These cats did not ask to be here. With the construction fences up TNR is difficult but I plan to do what I can to make sure the cats are spayed and neutered. Any amount you can donate is much appreciated.

<div>Support a small family business in Lahore, Pakistan - struggling since the impact of the US attack in Iran. Donations will go towards solar panels - making this sewing shop sustainable and supporting 15 workers and their families.

<div>From Emma:
</div>
<div>My sister, Uzma is a brilliant mother of 3 with a degree in English literature. She’s lived in Lahore her whole life and her father was an important singer. Uzma and her musician family took care of me in 2011 when my father and I stayed with them for a month. Now I’m hoping my community will help them stay afloat.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Read more below about her family’s struggling business. Since the bombing in Iran, Pakistan’s energy supply has been low and the government is practicing even more load shedding than usual - a practice where the government shuts down energy in different areas to prevent the whole power grid from going down. When the power is out, Uzma’s family’s business cannot run. Just 5k USD can bring them and other local families stability. Any additional funds will cover gofundme fees &amp; additional needs for Uzma’s business.

<div>From Uzma:
</div>
<div>Hi everyone! This is Uzma Ayaz. My husband and I started a business at our home in the form of a very small stitching unit in December 2025. It was very difficult to find a working team but God helped us and after 6 months of hard work, we have 15 people with us.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>But now it's summer season and due to the load shedding problem we aren't able to work consistently and meet our targets...
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>All these 15 people's earning depends on our stitching unit. They all have families to support. The only way we can get through this is by erecting solar panels so we can work even when the power goes out.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>It's my appeal to the whomever reads this - please help our team of 15 people...so that they can continue their earning through this unit for their families. If we have solar panels for our unit, we can nourish and flourish our small unit into a factory
