<div>It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jesus Ivan Cruz, a beloved member of our family at Able. On March 21, 2023, Jesus was tragically killed in a freak accident when a tree fell on him while he was driving in Portola Valley, California. He was only 29 years old.

Police said the victim died at the scene in south SanJose California.<br /><br />Gursharan Singh was a very hard working individual trying to support his lower-middle-class family. Singh leaves behind his wife, daughter (6), son (5), and elderly parents in India.<br /><br />This fund has been established to help in Singh’s family and kids' educational endeavors, and any other unforeseen expenses. This fund has been organized by Gursharan Singh‘s brother-in-law Tirath Singh (Tony) of Santa Clara, California, and SFMB-FOA (San Francisco Monterey Bay Franchises organization association) is a nonprofit corporation, will be helping the family to make sure all funds raised through this campaign will pay for Gursharan Singh’s Immediate family in India.

He tried to intervene and called 911 when the suspect entered the store and punched him on the side of his head, knocking him down; the suspect then proceeded to hit him in the head 5 or 6 more times, eventually giving multiple lacerations around his head and a rupture in his eyelid. Once the suspect fled, he murdered an innocent man.

Eighty-four-year-old Vicha Ratanapakdee died at 6:07AM on Saturday, January 30,2021 at S.F. General Hospital from injuries sustained while on his routine morning walk in the Anza Vista neighborhood of San Francisco. Originally from Thailand, he was a nearly blind, gentle person, beloved by his family. He was violently taken from them by a despicable Adult Male, that came to his neighborhood via a  car disabled by an earlier Hit and Run, and then decided to prove how tough he was by brutalizing a senior citizen. Our family has endured multiple verbal Anti-Asian attacks since the beginning of the pandemic...this time it was Fatal.<br />     Racism has once again proven deadly. Anti-Asian racism has become a very serious danger to all Asian Americans, particularly in San Francisco. It's time the authorities took serious action to combat it. For your own safety and/or that of your Asian American family, friends, and neighbors, call Chesa Boudin at (628) [phone redacted] and demand action on this despicable case. The perpetrator has been identified, and is now in jail awaiting court process. And Now that Mr.Vicha Ratanapakdee has died of his injuries, hard prosecution for this murderous hate crime is the only path to justice and community safety.<br /><br />     From Mr Ratanapakdee's daughter.....there are no words we can describe how our family feels in this overwhelming loss....our father going out for his morning walk after his daily routine of preparing his young grandsons for their day, and after just surviving his recent heart surgery......and then never coming back to our family ever again....we could not even know he was aware that his family was with him when he died.<br /><br /><br />     And now our young sons without their beloved grandfather who was such an immense part of their daily life...so senseless this is. Facing this terrible loss and how this happened will be forever now in the minds and eyes of our children. A legacy in memory of their grandfather brings to our young sons a brighter educational future in the honor of their grandfather.....and a legacy that must be so much greater than the way he died.<br /><br /><br />     We are so very thankful to the medical doctors at General hospital who tried to save his life....and to the San Francisco Police officers who have done all in their power to help us in this unimaginable painful time....and in their work to capture the person who did this. 84-year-old killed in San Francisco

On Tuesday, May 4, 2021, she was stabbed on Market St and 4th in San Francisco as she was heading home. While she was waiting at the bus stop, she was stabbed with a long knife in her right arm and entered into her chest. She was transferred to SF General where she had a successful surgery.

She was the one that defended herself from this unprovoked attack. But she is now suffering two serious black eyes and one that is bleeding unstoppably. Her wrist has also swelled up. She has been severely affected mentally, physically, and emotionally. She also stated that she is afraid to step out of her home from now on. This traumatic event has left her with PTSD. Although she has health insurance that covers the basics, there are still many medical expenses that cannot be covered on her own. She is a cancer survivor and she also has had diabetes for over 10 years now. The funds that we receive will be used to cover her medical expenses, her therapy treatment, and her bills that we will have to pay constantly from now on. My heart is with all the other elderly asians that has also been seriously injured or killed in this wave of attacks towards the asian community.</span>

<p><strong><img class="not-resizable" src="https://2dbdd5116ffa30a49aa8-c03f075f8191fb4e60e74b907071aee8.ssl.cf1.rackcdn.com/5621572_1439249403.6059_funddescription.jpg" alt="" width="100%" /><br /><br />Speak Up Wekiva, Inc.</strong> is a small group of volunteers who filed a lawsuit against the FWC to stop the ill-conceived and unscientific hunt of the <strong>Florida Black Bear.</strong>  There are no administrative costs, office expenses or salaries paid from money donated to us.  100% of the donations are used to pay legal bills and court costs in pursuing justice for the bears.  <br /><br />We formed Speak Up Wekiva, Inc. in 2013 to stop the sale of state park and wildlife conservation land by the Florida Dept. of Environmental Protection.  Its odd that we had to sue the agency responsible for protecting the environment in order to <strong>protect the environment</strong>; and now we have to sue the agency responsible for conserving wildlife in order to <strong>conserve wildlife</strong> - but that's the world we live in.<br /><br />Under the FWC's own figures, the Florida Black Bear's population is growing at a 2% annual rate, but they want to create rules that include a hunt with a goal of 20% annual reduction.   There are only about 3,000 Florida Black Bears in existence now because they were hunted nearly into <strong>extinction</strong> in the early 1990's under the sanction of a wildlife commission.<br /><br /><strong>This hunt is immoral</strong> because females over 100 lbs can be shot as long as "cubs are not present."  Who will monitor that?  There will be orphaned cubs starving to death, as has been the case with other hunts that include females.<br /><br /><strong>This hunt is immoral</strong> because an unlimited number of licenses are being sold and there will not be a quota imposed in the first two days of the hunt.  After that hunters will be on the honor system to stop once the quota is reached.<br /><br /><strong>This hunt is immoral</strong> because the same state government that sold off permits to harvest the Florida Black Bear's natural food supply (saw palmetto berries) is now selling permits to shoot starving bears for eating garbage in neighboring subdivisions.<br /><br /><strong>Make no mistake, this hunt is immoral</strong>.  Even the president of the Central Florida Bear Hunters Association has publicly stated he will not participate in this hunt<strong> because it is immoral</strong>.<br /><br />This is not about hunting, this is about a runaway group of political appointees ignoring the will of the people.  They must be stopped - and they will be stopped. </p>
