<div>A parents worst nightmare occurred 10/14/22 after an Annapolis football game in Dearborn Heights. 12 year old Joey Smith was hit by a car on his bike and tragically succumbed to his injuries. He was the only child to a very proud mother, Katie Smith. Please help this family during this unforeseen and tragic time. No parent should have to bury a child. <div>Early this week, Justin Phungglan passed away at the age of 22. Justin was a Marine Corps veteran and had a four years of active service. Justin was a fun, loving, and outgoing person. He had a heart of gold that just wanted to forgive anyone. And he only wanted to make others smile.

<div>Justin is survived by his son, Justin Phungglan Jr., his wife, Samantha Phungglan, and his three brothers, Jeff Phungglan, Jonathan Phungglan, and Jaeden Phungglan. Justin is also survived by his mother Sara Allison and his father Jack Phungglan.

<div><br />As many of you know, and for those who don't, Oussama was diagnosed with a brain tumor back in May 2021. In June, the doctors performed a 12-hour surgery and removed approximately 85% of the tumor. Doctors were not able to remove the entire tumor due to its location near the brain stem.

<div>Unfortunately, his condition kept worsening throughout the months. He had to do another surgery to place a brain shunt to release fluid buildup in his brain - which has permanently damaged his optic nerve - followed by 6 weeks of radiation and multiple seizures.

<div>Between the damaged optic nerve and seizures he has lost most of his vision (complete vision loss in his left eye and just able to see shadowy figures in his right). He is currently immobile and unable to do anything on his own. He has three daughters currently in college and his wife works part-time in order to take care of him.

Meals For Local Medical Staff on The Front Lines

On Friday September 6, our beloved Saja was shot and killed while sitting in her car outside of her house.  She was shot 3 times and pronounced dead at the scene. This was a senseless crime and because of it we lost a sister, a daughter, and a best friend. We can not cover all of the funeral costs on our own due to the circumstances of her death. We ask that we be helped in anyway so we can lay her to rest.

I didn't know how to make that happen without asking my friends and family for some help so I created a GoFundMe and donated my $1,500. The worst that could've happened was GoFundMe would take 2.9% and I would've gave away a $1,000 car. We all know a $1,000-$2,000 car is not very reliable. WE RAISED $5,000 and bought a 2009 Nissan Rogue AWD with only 85k miles!!! It went phenomenal, all thanks to donations.<br /><br />For the fourth car giveaway this year, I decided to step my game up and donate $2,500 into this GoFundMe account with a goal of $10,000. Can you imagine changing a families lives by giving them a free and clear vehicle that is worth $10,000?!?! I can't even think about it without getting goosebumps.<br /><br />If we can rally up 750 people to donate $10, that would be a total of $10,000. Bill Hav's 4th Free Car Giveaway!

Me, Glenn Lundy and Shawn Hayes are heading up this Go Fund Me for Michelle Marie Sri and Chad Morgan. Michelle was recently diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. Michelle has 3 boys and has a battle ahead. Being self employed insurance is a challenge. Michelle has a long road ahead with lots of out of pocket testing and large deductibles. Help Bill Hav give away a $5k car!

Jennifer is an educator, single mother, sister, daughter, aunt and a great inspiration to all, with a heart of gold. She has come on hard times thanks to people who are unempathetic to her condition (even though they hired her with MS) and allowing her to heal from a work related injury. Nonetheless she still has obligations as she goes through this time. God will provide! She will get past this and be bigger and stronger once she is able to heal. Jennifer was diagnosed with MS early in life and has recently be terminated from her job because her injury "is taking to long to heal." She has run out of FMLA at her former employment and they terminated her. This is why I have created this gofundme page, to help her heal and overcome this life changing event and to eliviate some of the finanical stress she is experiencing. <br /><br /><br />From Jennifer's blog:<br />Monday, I had physical therapy. When my son got home before I got ready to leave, I had him bring in the mail. I received a letter from my employer.   This letter terminated my employment and my benefits. I didn’t get through all of the letter before I started crying. I am still recovering from surgery! It’s  sure but extremely slow! My knee still hurts A LOT!<br /><br />I wore my sunglasses during physical therapy like I used to wear them  when I went inside the building once I got to work ( before the day started with students) when my Dad first died. I wore them in the morning (at 6:15,  when it was still dark outside)  because back then, I cried the entire way to work so my eyes would get puffy and red. I was afraid my eyes would be  puffy and red again because all I could do all the way  to physical therapy was cry.<br /><br />My job there was my only teaching job. I was hired in right after college. It was my first “Big Girl” job.  I was hired in having MS with a three-year-old son.   I’ve worked there for 12 years, first as a seventh grade English teacher and once I got my Masters degree, the Reading Specialist.   I have many fond memories there with the staff and students alike.<br /><br />Given that my benefits package was also terminated, I still have to pay for continued post-surgery rehab and doctor’s appointments.   I’m not quite sure how I am going to do this. I looked into a Go Fund Me account and the possibility of  holding another Booster because I am a sucker for a logo-Ed shirt!   I saw the fees for both of those and it disheartened me.<br /><br />If anyone can give me suggestions on what I could/should do to raise money, that would be great!  I have a mortgage to pay and I do not live lavishly, however; am a single mother so any guidance or donations would be appreciated!
