I am raising funds to repair my power chair, which has become an essential part of my daily life. Living with MS for 25 years, I never imagined that power chair repairs would become such a critical need, but here I am. My power chair is not just a tool for mobility—it’s my home, and my connection to the world. Without it, I face significant challenges in getting around and maintaining my quality of life, which is pretty limited now that I am homebound.

The repairs needed are extensive. The motors, joystick, and the 'brains' of the chair all need to be replaced to restore its functionality. These components are vital for the chair to operate safely and reliably, and without them, I am unable to move freely or take care of myself. The cost of these repairs is more than I can manage on my own, and I am reaching out for help to cover these expenses.

After 25 years of living with MS, I never thought that power chair repairs would be something I’d have to worry about. But they are, and they are so necessary. Your support will make a huge difference in my life, helping me regain my independence and continue living life to the fullest. Any contribution, big or small, is deeply appreciated. Thank you for considering my fundraiser and for your kindness.

A parents worst nightmare occurred 10/14/22 after an Annapolis football game in Dearborn Heights. 12 year old Joey Smith was hit by a car on his bike and tragically succumbed to his injuries. He was the only child to a very proud mother, Katie Smith. Please help this family during this unforeseen and tragic time. No parent should have to bury a child. Let’s come together as a community and take the financial burden off of her. Keep this family in your thoughts and prayers.

Early this week, Justin Phungglan passed away at the age of 22. Justin was a Marine Corps veteran and had a four years of active service. Justin was a fun, loving, and outgoing person. He had a heart of gold that just wanted to forgive anyone. And he only wanted to make others smile.

Justin is survived by his son, Justin Phungglan Jr., his wife, Samantha Phungglan, and his three brothers, Jeff Phungglan, Jonathan Phungglan, and Jaeden Phungglan. Justin is also survived by his mother Sara Allison and his father Jack Phungglan.

As many of you know, and for those who don't, Oussama was diagnosed with a brain tumor back in May 2021. In June, the doctors performed a 12-hour surgery and removed approximately 85% of the tumor. Doctors were not able to remove the entire tumor due to its location near the brain stem.

Unfortunately, his condition kept worsening throughout the months. He had to do another surgery to place a brain shunt to release fluid buildup in his brain - which has permanently damaged his optic nerve - followed by 6 weeks of radiation and multiple seizures.

Between the damaged optic nerve and seizures he has lost most of his vision (complete vision loss in his left eye and just able to see shadowy figures in his right). He is currently immobile and unable to do anything on his own. He has three daughters currently in college and his wife works part-time in order to take care of him.

I am asking you to please share this fundraiser and consider donating to help his wife and three daughters.

*Note from Organizer:
Hello, my name is Hassan Makled and I reside in Dearborn MI.
I'm organizing this fund for my lifelong friend Oussama Kobeissi. The funds raised will go to pay off all his debt to ease the financial burden on him and his family since he is not able to work any longer. These debts may/will include mortgage, medical bills, credit cards, and monthly living expenses.

Thank you all for your support.

Dear Community Partner,

My campaign: "Meals for Local Medical Staff on The Front Lines" is underway and in order to reach my goal I need your contribution.

How your donation will help:

We are looking to support our local hospital staff on the front lines of treating the Covid-19 pandemic by providing meals.
The meals will be delivered from ZeetheCook AND local restaurants, which will help to support these local businesses too!!

••• Keeping the staff healthy is a top priority to all •••

On average, a meal will cost $15 per person and our goal is to provide 100 meals per delivery. The meals will be individually packaged for safety and ease. The more money we raise, the more days we are able to provide meals.

For now we will be focused on providing meals to local hospitals: Beaumont Dearborn, Garden City Hospital and Henry Ford Hospital. We will be ordering from local restaurants in the WAYNE COUNTY area who will be able to deliver the meals directly to the hospital.

We hope this fundraiser can both benefit the hospital and the local restaurants who have been hurt by the Covid-19 pandemic.

If we raise more money than is necessary to support our hospitals, we hope to share with other local hospitals as well.

To stay in touch and learn more about the restaurants we are supporting, our own operations and COVID19 GIVE BACK charities... follow us on Facebook and Instagram.

Making a donation is super easy! Simply visit my campaign page and click donate. Any amount makes a difference!

Thank you,
Zee Shami & Staff @ ZTC (We are residents who care deeply about our community and hospitals)

Meals For Local Medical Staff on The Front Lines

On Friday September 6, our beloved Saja was shot and killed while sitting in her car outside of her house. She was shot 3 times and pronounced dead at the scene. This was a senseless crime and because of it we lost a sister, a daughter, and a best friend. We can not cover all of the funeral costs on our own due to the circumstances of her death. We ask that we be helped in anyway so we can lay her to rest.

My withdrawal plan to get the funds from the campaign to the ultimate beneficiary is to buy a vehicle for a family in need. The funds will be spent purchasing the vehicle. This is the 4th time I am giving away a free car to a family in need. GoFundme keeps postponing sending me the money for not explaining what I am doing with the money “good enough”. The give away date was suppose to beon the 21st but the money has yet to get sent to me. Please handle this ASAP GoFundme. There are a lot of people depending on me. I had no issues at all with GoFundme last year.

My name is Bill Hav and I've been selling cars for 4 years. I specialize in helping people who are looking to establish or reestablish their credit.

Trust me when I say, I encounter a lot of families who need help, and sometimes banks are not willing to help, due to past credit history. It breaks my heart to see families who truly need help but don't know what to do. That is what inspired me to do something and be that person they can turn to. I am far from rich, but I am fortunate enough to be able to give back like this once a year.

My first car giveaway was in December of 2015. I gave away my own personal vehicle since I was not as successful as I am now and did not have the funds to buy one for somebody. It was a 2004 Hyundai XG350L. Claire and I shared a vehicle for 5 months afterwards, until I was able to buy another one.

My second car giveaway was in 2016. I bought a $1500 car, paid for the taxes, registration and license plate, and picked a woman who volunteered at Peacable Kingdom. I once volunteered there too. She was taking the bus to get back and forth and was a great candidate for the free car.

The third car giveaway I wanted to give away a $5,000 car. I didn't know how to make that happen without asking my friends and family for some help so I created a GoFundMe and donated my $1,500. The worst that could've happened was GoFundMe would take 2.9% and I would've gave away a $1,000 car. We all know a $1,000-$2,000 car is not very reliable. WE RAISED $5,000 and bought a 2009 Nissan Rogue AWD with only 85k miles!!! It went phenomenal, all thanks to donations.

For the fourth car giveaway this year, I decided to step my game up and donate $2,500 into this GoFundMe account with a goal of $10,000. Can you imagine changing a families lives by giving them a free and clear vehicle that is worth $10,000?!?! I can't even think about it without getting goosebumps.

If we can rally up 750 people to donate $10, that would be a total of $10,000. Please help me change one family's lives this Christmas. The giveaway will be 12/21/18, and I will be surprising them at their home. They will enter by posting a video on my FB wall, no longer than 2 minutes. I can't thank you all enough for your help. Stay tuned for the video of the giveaway not long after Christmas.

Thank you

Sincerely,

Bill Hav

Floor Manager/Trusted Vehicle Advisor

AutoPROVED

267-490-9008

Me, Glenn Lundy and Shawn Hayes are heading up this Go Fund Me for Michelle Marie Sri and Chad Morgan. Michelle was recently diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. Michelle has 3 boys and has a battle ahead. Being self employed insurance is a challenge. Michelle has a long road ahead with lots of out of pocket testing and large deductibles. We are asking for 24 hours of prayer and donations to help a member of our auto family.

Lets support Michelle and chad

Last year I gave away a $2,000 vehicle to a woman who volunteers at Peacable Kingdom in Allentown PA. She would take the bus there and back, all to help animals in the shelter while getting paid $1 an hour. I will be giving away another vehicle on December 10th 2017 to a family in need right before Christmas. I donated the first $1,500 and am hoping 200 people will donate $20 which would be a total of $5,500!! After taxes , we will have around a $5,000 vehicle!!! I will pick one of the 500+ submissions people have emailed me on why the deserve the free vehicle. If you donate $20, you will receive a $500 off any vehicle coupon thrown in by Phillipsburg Easton Honda! If you donate $50, you will receive a $1,000 off any vehicle coupon!! Just please send me your email after your donation and I will send you the coupon!!! Thank you so much for reading this and if you can help, please donate $20 to this great cause. Happy holidays!!

Help Bill Hav give away a $5k car!

Jennifer is an educator, single mother, sister, daughter, aunt and a great inspiration to all, with a heart of gold. She has come on hard times thanks to people who are unempathetic to her condition (even though they hired her with MS) and allowing her to heal from a work related injury. Nonetheless she still has obligations as she goes through this time. God will provide! She will get past this and be bigger and stronger once she is able to heal. Jennifer was diagnosed with MS early in life and has recently be terminated from her job because her injury "is taking to long to heal." She has run out of FMLA at her former employment and they terminated her. This is why I have created this gofundme page, to help her heal and overcome this life changing event and to eliviate some of the finanical stress she is experiencing.

From Jennifer's blog:
Monday, I had physical therapy. When my son got home before I got ready to leave, I had him bring in the mail. I received a letter from my employer. This letter terminated my employment and my benefits. I didn’t get through all of the letter before I started crying. I am still recovering from surgery! It’s sure but extremely slow! My knee still hurts A LOT!

I wore my sunglasses during physical therapy like I used to wear them when I went inside the building once I got to work ( before the day started with students) when my Dad first died. I wore them in the morning (at 6:15, when it was still dark outside) because back then, I cried the entire way to work so my eyes would get puffy and red. I was afraid my eyes would be puffy and red again because all I could do all the way to physical therapy was cry.

My job there was my only teaching job. I was hired in right after college. It was my first “Big Girl” job. I was hired in having MS with a three-year-old son. I’ve worked there for 12 years, first as a seventh grade English teacher and once I got my Masters degree, the Reading Specialist. I have many fond memories there with the staff and students alike.

Given that my benefits package was also terminated, I still have to pay for continued post-surgery rehab and doctor’s appointments. I’m not quite sure how I am going to do this. I looked into a Go Fund Me account and the possibility of holding another Booster because I am a sucker for a logo-Ed shirt! I saw the fees for both of those and it disheartened me.

If anyone can give me suggestions on what I could/should do to raise money, that would be great! I have a mortgage to pay and I do not live lavishly, however; am a single mother so any guidance or donations would be appreciated! Thank you so much! For now, I am just stunned! I have a few blog posts to write but again, for now, I am just stunned!
