We're banding together to raise funds to pay for professional bug &amp; spider pest control and to rebuild her computer which was damaged during the power surges and outages during the winter storms and flooding. <div>"A devastating flood recently struck the area where my little family and I live, destroying bridges, roads, homes, and power lines. During the flooding, the repeated power surges damaged my PC's SSD. For those unfamiliar with computers, my PC no longer turns on. For those who are tech-savvy, the power surge corrupted the section of the SSD where Windows is installed, making it impossible for the computer to boot up into Windows.

<div>To get back up and running, I need to repair or replace the SSD and purchase a quality surge protector to help prevent this from happening again. Without a working PC, I cannot stream or do graphic design, which currently is my only sources of income.

<div>The flood also brought an unexpected danger. As wildlife sought shelter from the rising water, our home became overrun with black button spiders which are the South African equivalent of the American black widow. Although they are normally solitary, the sheer number of them has made our home unsafe, and we cannot risk our safety or that of our cat who is our child. We tried to deal with the infestation ourselves, but it has reached the point where we need professional pest control because they are everywhere and dangerous.

<div>Tragically, on the day of the flood, we had to rush our eldest cat to the vet. Our local veterinary clinic had been cut off by the flood, forcing us to drive an hour and a half to the next nearest available vet. Sadly, she did not survive. Losing her has made us even more protective of our last remaining cat.

<div>We have some heavy news from Frenchy and the Punk HQ. Unfortunately Samantha has been diagnosed with Stage 2 Breast Cancer and we have to cancel all US and UK shows 'till at least Autumn 2026.

<div>Touring, shows and festivals is our lifeline and how we make a living. We have wonderful Patrons on Patreon and we do receive a bit from streaming services, however, without shows it will be very hard to pay living expenses/bills on our own. Hopefully we will be able to get reimbursement for the flights we had booked for the Europe dates, that has yet to be figured out.

<div>This campaign is for living expenses while we go through this journey, for example, food, electric bills, gas, cable bill, car insurance, home insurance, payments on loans, etc.. At this moment we haven't gotten the specifics about insurance. We think our Affordable Care insurance will cover it but we still have to dot the I's and cross the T's. This is all overwhelming and we still have research to do. We also don't have a clear picture of how long this healing process could take.

<div>At some point soon, she will be starting chemo, followed by surgery, and then radiation. She is in surprisingly good spirits and is in total warrior mode. This was discovered in a routine checkup.

<div>In February I was diagnosed with a rare liver disease, PSC (Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis).

<div>PSC is an incurable liver disease. Currently there is no treatment for it, however I have been given medication to attempt to slow the decline and delay, or perhaps even prevent, the need for a liver transplant for as long as I can

<div>Doctors have advised me that to help slow the progress of this disease I should follow a healthy diet, rest as much as I can and most importantly, retire from working, or at the very least work less hours. Unfortunately until I can claim my state pension I'm not able to manage this financially.

All of his belongings, DJ equipment, record collection, clothing, and irreplaceable items that held a lot of memories have been destroyed by fire as well as water damage in putting out the flames. Sean is now displaced because the house is unlivable.

<div>On Tuesday morning, my daughter Rachel was driving on the highway on rt 30 to her workplace when flames started shooting from under her hood. When she pressed the brakes, she found her brakes had failed. She let the car slow down and pulled the emergency brake. She was able to put the car on the median strip. The fire was growing more intense, and she could only grab her phone and a small painting that she treasured on the front seat. Her purse was out of reach, so it was left behind. A passing officer had stopped and yelled for her to Run! Run! Run! from the car that became fully engulfed with flames. She is grateful to the firefighters and police who came to help. Her Father and I are grateful for the help and care they showed our daughter. We are thankful that our daughter is alive. The last day has been spent realizing how blessed we are to have her with us.
