On the night of Sunday, September 1, 2025, and again just two days later, eastern Afghanistan was struck by two devastating earthquakes—first a magnitude 6.0, then a 5.5-5.2 aftershock. These catastrophic events have already claimed more than 2,200 lives, injured over 4,000 people, and razed thousands of homes in rural provinces like Kunar, Nangarhar, and Laghman. Families remain trapped, injured, or homeless—scrambling for safety amid landslides and inaccessible roads. Rescue teams are racing against time to deliver medicine, clean water, shelter, and food—but the need is overwhelming. Who We Are? Afghan Humanitarian Aid (AHA) is a U.S.-registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to restoring hope and dignity across Afghanistan—100% volunteer-based, with zero paid staff. Every single penny you contribute goes directly to relief efforts. We are deeply embedded in Afghan communities and mobilized immediately after the quakes, even while access remains limited. All donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent permitted by law. IRS Tax Exempt No. 33-4077318. What Your Donation Can Do: $3.1 = A metal bucket to store clean water $4.5 = Sanitary napkins for women and girls $6.4 = A warm blanket for cold nights $17.5 = A gas cooker for hot meals $25.4 = A tarpaulin sheet for shelter Please donate now and share this campaign—every dollar, every share, every voice matters. Together, we can deliver lifesaving help to communities on the brink.
