Help Me Bring Dominique Home (In Custody Since December 10, 2025) Hi, my name is Margarita, and I’m asking for help to bring my partner, Dominique Mendez, home. Dominique has been in custody since December 10, 2025, while his case is under review. This happened very unexpectedly. I don’t currently have the funds needed to post bail or retain an attorney. I am actively picking up shifts, applying for jobs and loans, and continuing to contact bail bond companies in an effort to secure a bail bond that I can co-sign on my own. I have also listed Dominique’s car for sale. Despite doing everything I can, I’m still coming up short.  I wouldn’t be asking for help if I didn’t truly need it. Normally, I wouldn’t even ask, but I am doing everything I possibly can to secure his release, and reaching out for help is part of that effort. I will also put any money I earn toward the fund until there is enough to bring him home.  Before this happened, Dominique was focused on building a stable future. He was studying for his GED, working toward certifications, and planning career training. We also both completed and received our bloodborne pathogen (BBP) certification because we enjoy tattooing and would love for that to be a legitimate source of income in the future. We spent a lot of time practicing together, even though Dominique was ready to start working, he kept practicing with me so that we could start together.  Dominique is a helpful, steady, and caring person who has always shown up when I needed him. He supports me daily as I live with a chronic connective tissue disorder that affects my mobility and causes severe chronic pain. His absence has been devastating, more so as I am facing this situation without him and without the means to help him.  Every donation will go directly toward bail or legal fees. If I’m able to cover these costs another way, including selling the car, I will share an update and refund donations.  Every donation matters. Any amount, even sharing this, is appreciated more than you know and more than I can express.  Thank you for reading. Thank you for caring.  (Tips can be set to $0 when donating.)
