My name is Danna, and I am reaching out with a mother’s heart to ask for help for my son, Paul Roberth Lara Bocanegra. Paul is only 21 years old. He is the oldest of five siblings, a hardworking, caring young man with dreams, goals, and his entire future ahead of him. In a matter of seconds, his life changed forever when he suffered a severe spinal injury that required emergency surgeries and intensive medical care. Paul is still hospitalized, and while we are incredibly grateful that he is still with us, we are facing a very difficult reality. He urgently needs specialized rehabilitation and intensive therapy to give him the best possible chance for recovery and independence. Unfortunately, because Paul does not have medical insurance, we have been unable to find a rehabilitation center that can accept him. We have reached out to multiple facilities seeking help, but the costs of rehabilitation and therapy are extremely high and far beyond what our family can afford. Every day that passes is precious time that could make a difference in his recovery. Our greatest concern right now is making sure Paul has access to the therapies, specialists, and rehabilitation programs he needs. We know the road ahead will be long, but we also know that proper rehabilitation can make a tremendous difference in his future. Today, we humbly ask for your support. Paul tiene 21 años y es el mayor de cinco hermanos. Es un joven trabajador, noble y dedicado a su familia. Como muchos jóvenes, tenía sueños, metas y planes para su futuro.
