Louie is the kind of friend who never does anything nice for himself, even though he deserves it. In his small amount of free time, he loves to do what most of us do—kick back, hop in a call with his closest friends, play a game, and laugh with the lads. Sadly, his laptop is 13 years old and is having battery failure. It's gotten so bad that he can't play most of the games the rest of our friend group enjoys together. He doesn't know that we—his small group of close friends and internet friends who adore him dearly—have made this fundraiser. We're just another group of gamers, and this is how we relax and connect. It's how we have adventures together, even when separated by seas. It's how we forge golden memories. Our plea is to anyone who relates: our group has started pooling money to buy him a new gaming laptop. Not a top-of-the-line computer, but something that will let him play the games we all enjoy together. With your help, we can reach this goal much faster. We want to show each other that in a world of disconnected isolation, where we're pushed to worry and tremble over problems so massive and insurmountable, we can still come together for the common good.
