My name is Adil Boutahli, and I am a wheelchair tennis athlete based in New Jersey, competing within the USTA Middle States, with a dream of competing at the Paralympic Games in Los Angeles 2028. In 2014, my life changed forever after being shot 12 times while working at a convenience store. I spent 3 weeks in a coma and 10 months in the hospital undergoing intense physical therapy. As a result of my injuries, I am now paralyzed at the L2–L3 level—but I refused to lose my purpose. Through resilience and determination, I found a new path in wheelchair tennis. Today, tennis is more than a sport for me—it’s my second chance at life. It gives me strength, discipline, and a clear goal every day. I am actively competing in tournaments through USTA Middle States and beyond, while working to improve my ranking by competing across the United States, Canada, and around the world. International competition is essential for me to grow, gain experience, and qualify for top-level events. I am raising funds not only for tournament travel, entry fees, and accommodations, but also for high-level training and private coaching. Consistent coaching and structured training are critical for me to compete at an elite level and reach my full potential. I am also open to sponsorship opportunities and proud to represent any brand or organization that believes in my journey. I am ready to display logos on my wheelchair, gear, training apparel, social media, and throughout tournaments—creating strong visibility and a meaningful partnership. This journey is bigger than me. It’s about turning pain into power and proving that no matter what happens in life, you can rise again. Thank you for believing in my dream. — Adil Boutahli
