<div>Jose got covid back in December and since then his health has taken a nose dive. We have faced many challenges over the last 8 months, but now we are facing his heart failing. He is currently home released from Iowa hospital on friday with a life vest to help to keep him alive. The life vest costs $2,375.00 a month. We have been in contact with the cardiologist who will be handling his care. The surgery to put a defibrillator in to help his heart function even at a low capacity is in upward of $75,000 dollars. We do not have insurance, so the down payment will be 50% to 75% to start the process. The medical bills we have accumulated, plus the monthly meds ect total over $200,000.00.

<font color="#333333">Hi, my name is Jess and I’m currently enlisted in the Army National Guard as a medic for the past 13 years. While serving in the Army I’ve worked a few civilian jobs to include corrections officer, EMT, and range safety officer to name a few. <br />Currently I work in a local hospital’s ICU as a patient care technician and cardiac monitor room tech. Over the past 13+ years I’ve seen and gone through some tough things (such as MST), which has resulted in a diagnosis of PTSD, severe depression, anxiety, and alcohol use disorder. <br />A friend reached out to me a week ago about an amazing residential treatment facility (Warrior’s Heart) in Bandera, TX just outside of San Antonio. The full time, 6 week program helps with detoxing and living a sober life, while helping people work through their traumas and mental health. This place is awesome and only accepts people who are military/first responders/law enforcement/firefighters. So I will be able to talk in a setting with other people who have traumas that we all understand and have camaraderie. I have a possible start date of July 24th. <br />The money I’m trying to raise will first go towards the payment for my care which is around $1,000. If I had to pay out of pocket care would cost $33,000, but my health insurance is covering most of it. The other $1,000 I’m asking for is to cover the cost of my flights to and from TX. If there is any additional money after the initial $2,000 we will put it towards our bills while I’m out of work. I have been out of work since early June and we’re financially struggling until the doctors feel comfortable with me returning to a stressful job. <br />Any amount is appreciated and if you can’t help please just pass this along. I’d also appreciate your thoughts and prayers as I try and handle this so I can be back at my fullest for my family, Army, and work. Thank you!!</font>

Unfortunately, I received the devastating news that my father had passed away on Wednesday, June 29, 2022. As human beings, we all make our fair share of mistakes; however, they do not have to define us. My Dad was a great guy with a good heart and always meant well. Losing your Dad is a type of pain like no other. Being the next of kin, the responsibility of organizing and covering the expenses of the service has fallen to me. With such an unexpected event, I am willing to take any help I can. Hey guys , this tough guy's name is Zach and he is a little under the weather at moment.  But when he is feeling good he is wide open all the time lol. It is hard to believe just a week ago he was running around the house playing with my son doing what little boys are suppose to do. Zach and his family are dear friends to all that know them and are good as they come. Zach has had some challenges since he was a baby and has been here before and he didn't back down. But we have yet another hurdle we need to jump at the moment . Pics may not show it , but this little fellow is sick and going through more than a grown man should have to. I know at  the moment doctors are trying to do all they can to get his liver working but the talk of a transplant is being used a lot . I wish I could trade places with him or do something to make it go away. But since I know Zach will do the hard part and handle the fighting the least we can do is try to help keep the ho$pital happy and be prepared to tell them to proceed with anything needed to help Zach without any red tape holdback$. Zach's Medical Travel Expense Fund

My son has been caught in the visious circle of drug abuse since he was 16. I found a long term treatment center for a minimum of 1 yr that he is willing to go to in Nevada.  The regular cost is $33,000 for the length of his stay  they gave me a scholarship knocking it down to 12,500  I currently have 2000 plus travel expenses.  If he doesn't get help now he will die.  He is begging me for help.  Now I am begging you to help save my son.

<div><strong>Alice's husband, Jose, has been battling serious heart complications and has now reached the point where a transplant is the only option.</strong> Insurance was initially covering a portion of the procedure and transported him to a hospital 5 hours from home. Upon his arrival, they are now claiming this hospital is out of network. They are searching for a hospital that is now in network. Even with insurance covering a portion, it still leaves a significant amount of expense. The pre-surgery care, the transplant, the ongoing post-operative treatment—these costs add up quickly. They include hospital stays, travel expenses, medications, specialist visits, and a multitude of other recovery expenses. <strong>The financial burden during this already overwhelming time is more than the family can manage alone.</strong> We are asking for any support you can give, whether it's a donation or simply sharing this fundraiser. <div>A little bit about Alice, one of my dearest and oldest friends: life hasn't always been easy for her, but she has pushed through more things that would break many. The sudden loss of her infant daughter, moving back home when her father was ill to assist in his care for his final days, providing for her son as a single mother, assisting her mother and older brother with their illnesses and disabilities—she is the example of giving you the shirt off her back. I have witnessed her selflessness and have seen her strength when faced with all of this adversity. She is truly one of the strongest women I know. She finally found the light at the end of her long dark tunnel, her Jose. They drove tractor trailers across the country and did very well until Jose came down with COVID in 2021. He had a life-saving heart surgery, but unfortunately, they had to come off the road. They purchased a home on two acres in Kansas, where they were planning on living their humble life. They chose to raise animals and homestead, a simple quiet life. Jose loves to sit on his porch and overlook the little farm they created, while Alice tends to the animals' needs and homesteads. She taught herself to can, to preserve, to live simply and happily. Jose loves to laugh and bring joy to everyone he encounters. Alice is again exemplifying strength. She is working all week, coming home to tend to the animals and all that entails, all while trying, hoping, and praying that her Jose will make it through the day. Then, on Friday nights, she has been driving the 5.5 hours one way to the hospital to spend some time with Jose, to speak to social workers, nurses, and doctors to figure out the next course of action.
