My name is Amanda. I am setting up this Go Fund Me for a couple of friends, Zak and Anne, whose home burned down on the afternoon of August 28th, 2026 while they were at the food bank. They lost everything in the house, including their cat and dog. This was a home under land contract. The land owner screwed them because he has not been paying the mortgage company, or the insurance on the home, so there will be nothing to help them rebuild and no where for them to go. They were already financially burdened before this tragedy happened. They need assistance in securing a place to live and to buy necessities like clothing and food. Their health has been a major factor in their financial distress. Zak was in a vehicle accident while at work and has been out treating his medical issues. Anne just had surgery for a torn Achilles tendon, so she has not been released to work yet. Their check engine light just went on in their car as well. Things just keep spiraling And they are under an enormous amount of stress. Thank you very much for taking the time to read their story.
