Help Perth Amboy Families Recover After a Devastating Fire 
 
Our Perth Amboy community is mourning after a devastating house fire on Chauncey Street during the early morning hours of Friday. This heartbreaking tragedy claimed the life of an 11-year-old child and left multiple families facing unimaginable loss. 
 
Among those affected is Victor Burgos, who tragically lost his beloved grandson in the fire. Another grandson remains in serious condition and is receiving critical medical care following injuries sustained during the incident. The family is now facing overwhelming grief while also navigating the challenges of medical treatment, recovery, and rebuilding their lives. 
 
In addition to this devastating loss, another family of six lost everything they owned in the fire. Their home, clothing, furniture, personal belongings, important documents, and cherished memories were destroyed, leaving them displaced and in urgent need of support. 
 
This fundraiser has been established to assist the families affected by this tragedy. All contributions will be distributed among the families who lost a loved one, those suffering from serious injuries, and the family that lost everything in the fire. 
 
Funds raised will help provide: 
 
- Funeral and memorial expenses 

- Medical expenses and recovery support 

- Temporary housing and emergency shelter 

- Clothing, food, and essential daily necessities 

- Replacement of personal belongings lost in the fire 

- Financial assistance as families work to rebuild their lives 
 
No amount can replace a loved one or undo the devastation these families have endured. However, together we can help relieve some of the financial burden and show them that they are not alone during this incredibly difficult time.

Support Perth Amboy Families After Tragic Fire

Two months ago, I suffered a broken femur and needed surgery. The recovery has been challenging, and I’ve been unable to work since the injury. This has made it difficult to keep up with my bills and daily expenses, and I’m reaching out for help during this tough time. 
 
 
 Being unable to work has put a lot of stress on me, both physically and emotionally. Every day is a struggle as I try to focus on healing while worrying about how to pay for rent, utilities, and medical expenses. I never imagined I would be in a situation where I’d need to ask for help, but I know that support from my community can make a huge difference. 
 
 
 The funds raised will go directly toward covering my rent, utilities, and medical expenses while I focus on healing and getting back on my feet. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a real difference in my life and help me stay afloat until I can return to work.

Help abel e Recover from Surgery

Darnella Frazier, the brave young woman who filmed the murder of George Floyd, deserves peace and healing. In addition to the trauma of watching a black man be murdered by police, she has had to deal with trolls, bullies and ignorant people harassing her online. It took unbelievable courage for her to stand there and bear witness to such an awful tragedy. We all have our roles to play in the revolution against white supremacy. Darnella played an important one and should be uplifted, not shamed.


Something broke. This country will never be the same. And in the midst of our rage and pain, we cannot let this young black woman become a casualty. 


George Floyd paid the ultimate price of being black in this country. But let us not forget that a CHILD had to be the eyes for this nation. A CHILD paid the price of her innocence, her well-being, her hope, so that white people would start to wake the f-$&amp; up. And people are going out of their way to break her spirit?!


Hell.  Nawl. Nope. Not on my watch and not on yours. 


White folks: You woke now? Stay woke. You mad? Stay mad. You care about Black Lives? Well we finna care about Darnella, too.


You can’t put a price on a child’s spirit. This fund is to support the healing and the restoration of hope for Darnella Frazier —whatever that means to her. There are many places in the movement where your resources are needed. This is one of them. Thank you.
