As Jessica and Rhett navigate the emotional and physical toll of this diagnosis, they are also facing mounting medical expenses and the loss of wages from taking time off work to care for Grayson. The financial strain is significant, and the road ahead will require ongoing support for treatments, therapies, and daily care.

<div>Batten disease is often called 'childhood dementia.' It is a cruel condition that gradually strips away a child's ability to speak, move, see, and swallow. For a vibrant 4-year-old like Grayson, the road ahead involves intensive medical interventions, specialized therapies, and around-the-clock care.
