<div>If you’ve followed Ertan, you know how much he has done for small businesses and the people behind them. We experienced that kindness firsthand. He came into our restaurant, shared our food with his audience, and helped us. What started as a simple visit turned into a friendship, and we’ll always be grateful for the support he showed us. Right now, He has been dealing with some difficult health issues that have taken a toll on him both physically and financially. Hospital visits, doctors bills and actively seeking treatment to help him find what's causing such pain. Also, his inability to work his job to support himself and his family have made things increasingly difficult. <div>Our dear friend Erin Green has received devastating news - she has been diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer that has spread to her liver. The doctors have given her an estimated two years, but with ongoing chemotherapy treatments, we hope to extend her precious time with us.

<div>Erin and her husband Jim have been the embodiment of selfless love and dedication. During the COVID pandemic, they opened their home to care for Erin's father during his cancer battle, providing him with hospice care until his final days. Then, in early 2024, when Erin's brother Ian was diagnosed with cancer, they once again stepped up as primary caregivers until his passing in August 2024.

Support Erin Green's Battle with Stage 4 Cancer

<div>On June 7, our beloved Jordan Christopher Callens passed away unexpectedly, just months before his 30th birthday. The sudden loss of Jordan has left his family, friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him devastated.

<div>Jordan was kind, attentive, and had a big heart. He was one of those rare people who made you feel instantly at ease; he had a way of making people feel seen and cared for. Whether he was just spending time with the people he loved, or was at work serving guests at Dad’s Cocktail Bar in Virginia Highlands, Jordan brought warmth into every space he entered.

<div>He leaves behind his mother, Lisa, and his older siblings Robbie and Alia, who are now grieving this immense loss while trying to process moving forward in life without him. Jordan was full of life, full of laughs, and full of dreams. He loved his siblings deeply, and cherished and cared for his mother.

<div>This heartbreak comes after years of hardship for the Callens family. In 2022, Lisa lost her husband, Carl, unexpectedly. Since then, she has carried the weight of caring for her children and serving as the full-time caregiver for her mother, who lives with dementia. Through it all, she has continued to show up with strength, love, and resilience. She is now trying to face the loss of her youngest child with faith and dignity.

<div>Jordan’s brother Robbie, who was also his roommate and closest friend, is now facing life without both his brother and best friend while handling Jordan’s affairs. His sister Alia is also grieving deeply as she diligently attends to the preparations for the memorial activities.

<div>Now, Lisa, Robbie and Alia are facing the painful responsibility of laying Jordan to rest. Most importantly, we want Lisa, Robbie, and Alia to have space to grieve without the added weight of financial stress.

Support Callens Family in Honoring Jordan’s Legacy

My name is alisa, and I’m reaching out because I’m facing a challenging time. I need to have neck surgery in less than two weeks, and I’ve already been out of work for a while. The recovery will keep me away from my job for at least three months, and as a co-parent to teenage twins, I’m doing my best to keep things steady for my family. The uncertainty and the timing have made things especially tough, and I want to do everything I can to lessen the financial burden on those close to me.

Support alisa’s Recovery After Neck Surgery

On the morning of August 7, 2020, Julian was involved in a motorcycle accident at Boulevard and Irwin on his way home from seeing friends. He arrived at the hospital with cranial bleeding, a bilateral temporal fracture (skull), spinal fractures (neck and lower torso), broken facial bones, a broken nose, a concussion and road rash down his left side.<br /><br />Police were dispatched to find Julian on the sidewalk bleeding from his nose, ears and mouth. The head trauma obtained prevented him from recollecting the details of the accident, but he does remember being assaulted by an unknown person or persons. Both his cell phone and wallet were stolen. In his wallet, a substantial amount of cash was taken along with credit cards that were used shortly after for fraudulent charges. Details regarding this aspect are pending.<br /><br />An ambulance rushed Julian to Grady Hospital where he is currently admitted. On Saturday, he was placed in ICU allowing him better attention from the nurses on staff.  A CT scan was performed this afternoon and he is waiting on those results. The hope is he will be well enough to be returned to a standard patient room Sunday. Thankfully, he is responsive, making jokes and in good spirits.<br /><br />Anyone who is fortunate to call Julian a friend knows what a big heart he has. He never fails to help his friends and family in times of need. As a cornerstone in his communities, his support system runs deep.<br /><br /><br /><img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/50290756_1596930476580616_r.jpeg" alt="50290756_1596930476580616_r.jpeg" width="100%" media_type="3" /><br />Julian and his amazing wife, Julia, welcome their first child in September.  Help us carry everyone’s favorite couple through these already challenging times, so they do not have to do this alone.<br /><br />Unfortunately due to the COVID pandemic, no visitors (including Julia) are allowed to see him, adding additional stress on him and his loved ones. Julian's Motorcycle Accident

On September 22, 2016, Jessica was admitted to Emory University Hospital with the shocking news that she had a rare brain aneurysm. She has been fighting for her life ever since. After a successful surgery she has begun her long road to recovery. There have been many scares along the way which lead to her being in an induced coma for the majority of the last 21 days. She has fought so hard and continues to fight to come back to us. Her husband has been by her side from the start and taken amazing care of her. Their bond is so strong, and she's fighting with everything she has to come back to him! I will repost updates from her incredible husband on her progress as she continues to fight this battle!
