Hi, my name is Zuri Williams. I’m a college student who has been dealing with ongoing medical issues for over a year after breaking my left femur and developing a stress fracture. What I thought would be a temporary setback has turned into a long and uncertain recovery. I recently learned that whether I continue treatment or choose surgery, my recovery could take another year—or longer.
During this time, my mobility and ability to work have been extremely limited. More than anything, this injury has taken away my independence. Simple things most people my age take for granted—working a job, going out with friends, feeling spontaneous or free—have been hard or impossible for me.
I’m starting this fundraiser not just to help with medical and living expenses, but to give myself some breathing room during recovery. My biggest hope right now is to regain a sense of normalcy—to focus on healing, staying in school, and slowly rebuilding a life where I can feel independent and excited about the future again.
Any support, whether through donating or sharing, truly helps more than I can put into words. Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for supporting me during this chapter.
