<div><strong>With the approval of the Brant family, Charlie Davis and Eyeball Engineering Racing have created this GoFundMe on their behalf.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>On August 6, 2026, during Speed Week at the Bonneville Salt Flats, David Brant was involved in a serious rollover accident while attempting a land speed record. David was treated at the scene before being transported to the University of Utah Hospital, where he remains surrounded by his family.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>David sustained extensive injuries that will require significant recovery. He is stable for now, but in critical condition. Out of respect for David and his family, we will leave the details of his condition and medical updates for them to share when and as they feel comfortable.
</div>
<div>David’s wife, Sam, has every intention of setting up a CaringBridge account to share updates, but we don’t have that link yet. We will share as soon as possible!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Right now, David's wife, sisters, dad, grandparents, and racing family are with him in Utah and plan to remain by his side through the next stages of his recovery.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>A Family Who Has Always Shown Up for Others</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you know the Brant family, you know them for more than their accomplishments and speed.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The Brants are deeply rooted in many racing communities—not only in land speed with Brant Racing and Brant-Speranza Racing, but also in motorcycles, speedway, bikes, and many other areas of motorsports. But more importantly, they are known for the kind of people they are.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>They are an incredibly giving, loving, caring, helpful, and kind family and race team. They are the people who go the extra mile, lend a hand without hesitation, share their knowledge, help another racer or team, and are there when someone needs them. So many people have experienced firsthand what it means to have a Brant show up when you need someone.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Their generosity and willingness to help others are every bit as much a part of their reputation as their racing. It's simply who they are.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>They have spent years showing up for everyone else. Now it's our turn to show up for them.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Why They Need Our Help</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>While their only focus right now is David, life outside of the hospital doesn't stop.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>David and his family are not from Utah. Their home is in North Dakota, where David lives with his wife, their 3½-year-old daughter, and 15-month-old son. His family has unexpectedly had to put their normal lives, work, and responsibilities on hold while staying hundreds of miles from home to be by his side.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Right now, there is no way to know how long they will need to remain in Utah or what the coming weeks may bring.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>In the days and weeks ahead, they will face expenses for lodging, meals, transportation, flights, missed work, and countless other unexpected costs. When David is medically able, the family will also face the challenge and expense of safely getting him from Utah back home to North Dakota, along with whatever his continued recovery and rehabilitation may require.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>There are still so many unknowns ahead, and the road is long.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Our hope is to help take even a small part of that financial burden off their shoulders so the family's attention can remain where it belongs: on David, his surgeries, his recovery, and eventually getting him home to his wife and sweet babies.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Every donation, no matter the amount, will help. If you aren't able to donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser throughout the racing community and beyond. Every donation, share, prayer, and message of support means more than you may realize.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The Brants have given their time, help, knowledge, generosity, and friendship to so many people over the years. Now we have an opportunity to return some of that love and support when they need it most.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>From Charlie Davis, Eyeball Engineering Racing, and the racing family that stands behind them—let's rally around David and the entire Brant family. Let's help carry some of the weight while they focus on getting David through this, getting him stronger, and ultimately getting him home to his wife, his kids, and the life waiting for him there. ❤️</strong>

 Help Support Mateo’s Recovery
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 As most of you are aware, Saturday, August 1st, Teo was involved in a devastating motorcycle accident that has changed his life in an instant.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 <strong>He is currently hospitalized with severe injuries, including an open left forearm fracture, a fractured left femur, a subdural hematoma (brain bleed), a Grade 2 splenic laceration, a fractured left scapula, a basilar skull fracture, and bilateral pulmonary contusions (bruised lungs).</strong> His road to recovery will be long and filled with surgeries, rehabilitation, and countless challenges.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 Since the accident, Mateo’s mom and dad have remained by his bedside, focusing every ounce of their energy on supporting their son through this unimaginable journey. As they stay with him at the hospital, they are also facing mounting medical expenses, lost wages, travel costs, and the financial strain that comes with a prolonged hospitalization.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 We are asking our family, friends, and community to come together to help ease some of this burden so Teo and his parents can focus on what matters most—his healing.
</div>

 No donation is too small, and every share, prayer, and word of encouragement makes a difference. If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser to help us reach others who may be able to help.

<div>
 Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your generosity, love, and prayers. Together, we can remind Mateo and his family that they are not facing this journey alone.

Support Mateo’s Long Road to Recovery

Hello everyone. My name is Brandie, and I am a good friend to Kristine, the owner of Sinbads Hotdogs in Sparks. Yesterday, Sinbads experienced a devastating accident that left Kristine facing significant damages and unexpected financial loss. What was supposed to be a normal day turned into one of the most challenging moments she will have to face. The accident caused a car to crash into the building, leaving them unable to operate. We are incredibly grateful that they were closed at the time, and our customers, employees, and families were not hurt.
<br>
<br>
 Sinbads has always been more than just a “hot dog place”—it’s a cherished part of the Reno/Sparks community. For over 45 years, Kristine and her team have proudly served delicious food, supported local events, and built relationships with customers who feel more like family. The sudden closure has deeply affected not only Kristine but also her employees and the many people who rely on Sinbads as a gathering place.
<br>
<br>
 Your support will help us cover the damage to the property, replacement of equipment, temporary operating expenses, support for employees affected by the shutdown, and rebuilding the space so Kristine can open the doors again. Any amount helps, big or small, and if you can’t donate, please share and show all the love and support Sinbads deserves. Thank you for helping us bring this beloved business back to our community.
