<div>To start, both of my parents are on disability, and growing up, money was always tight. When I turned 18, I moved out too quickly into a relationship that didn’t last, and I suddenly found myself completely on my own. I struggled to stay afloat, borrowing money from friends just to make it through each month until I simply couldn’t anymore.

<div>Over the years, my debts piled up — car payments, taxes, phone bills, and other expenses that I just couldn’t keep up with. Then, a few years ago, my grandmother — who I was incredibly close to and shared a birthday with, exactly 70 years apart — passed away. Losing her hit me hard, and I fell into a dark place. I turned to drinking and drugs, and my financial situation only got worse.

<div>But life has a way of giving second chances. I’ve met my forever person, and at 30 years old, I’m finally ready to turn things around. I now work full-time at a minimum-wage job that helps me just scrape by with daily essentials like food and rent, but it’s been hard to get ahead while carrying so much old debt. I’m doing my best to move forward, but between current bills and the weight of past mistakes, it’s a constant uphill battle.

<div>Right now, I’m facing over $30,000 in debt, and I’m doing everything I can to pay it down, but it feels like an uphill battle. Any amount of help, no matter how small, would mean the world to me. It’s not just about paying off bills — it’s about getting a second chance to start fresh, free from the past, and build the life I’ve always wanted with the person I love.
