<div>Kushal was a loving husband and a devoted father who cared deeply for his family. His wife and daughters, who live in Fort Worth, Texas, are now facing tremendous emotional and financial challenges as they try to move forward without him.

<div>Kushal’s youngest daughter, who is only 18 months old, has complex medical needs and requires constant care. Because of her daughter’s needs, his wife has not been able to work and has dedicated all her time to providing the care and support her child needs.

Stability for Kushal’s Family After Loss

My name is Santosh. I came to America in student visa (F1) a year ago thinking about giving my family a beautiful future and a hope to live the American dream like every other person. Soon after I came to the States, I was able to bring my wife, son, and daughter on dependent visa (F2). My family was living happily in Missouri. Specially, my two years old daughter, Nyla and my wife, Sirjana were the happiest persons in the world. We were living good life with American dream. This happiness could not be lasted longer. On July 1st, 2023, we were heading to Texas to visit my friend and to celebrate July 4th weekend. On the way, we got a severe accident. Our car was hit by a semi-truck on a high-way at Chouteau, Oklahoma midway to Texas. We were at a construction zone where other vehicles were lined up as only one lane was open. I could see the semi-truck approaching on my rear-view mirror and was hoping he’ll hit his brake, but he slammed onto us which blew my car and other two cars as well. My son (6yrs old) and daughter (2yrs old) were in the back seat on their car seats. My wife, Sirjana and daughter Nyla were impacted severely so they were airlifted by helicopters to the hospital. My son and I were taken by ambulances to the hospital. Currently, as of July 6, 2023, we are all in a Hospital. My daughter and wife fighting for their lives. My daughter has severe brain injury. She has multiple brain hemorrhage and is under medically induced state of coma at the intensive care unit. It is difficult for me to see my little one suffering and fighting for her life. As per doctor, it will be really difficult to cure her completely. My wife suffered C4, C5 and C6 spinal cord fracture which is one of the most severe spinal cord injuries. She underwent surgery but her body below neck is completely paralyzed as of now and as per doctors she will require intense physiotherapy up to 2 years to get her used to doing daily normal activities. The doctors are unsure per whether or she will walk again. I have a dislocated shoulder and fractured scapula. I will be requiring at least 6 more weeks to recover. My son hit his face and has three fractures, so he may have to undergo facial reconstruction surgery. He is devastated mentally and in the state of trauma. My attorney is helping me to file police report. We are looking to hire an attorney to fight for us. All this is going to take a while and strain us financially, emotionally, and mentally. I have always been involved in humanitarian sector at my work and today I can see how it feels to be the helpless victim. We require many helping hands at this moment. My wife will require special modifications at home to help her with her condition, my son and daughter will require help in their everyday life. We do not have any assistance. We are unsure at the moment whether my daughter will be able to make it or not. Currently, I am out of home town Columbia and staying near by hospital in Tulsa to recover myself and to support my wife and kids. We are under the tremendous stress. However, we believe through everyone’s help, we will get better. Please, kindly help us financially whatever you can spare, and please pray for us. We need your support more than ever. God bless you.
