As a student from Georgia who is passionate about entering the medical field, I have come to realize that one of the biggest barriers to proper healthcare is not always the condition itself, but rather the financial burden that comes along with managing it. Children who are diagnosed with autism, ADHD, and other developmental disabilities often require intensive and ongoing support such as Applied Behavior Analysis therapy, speech therapy, and occupational therapy, all of which can cost thousands of dollars every single month. On top of that, even getting a proper diagnosis in the first place can set a family back by several thousand dollars, and that is before a single therapy session has even begun. Many families across Georgia and beyond are doing everything they can just to get by, and when insurance falls short or denies coverage altogether, these children are left without the resources they desperately need to grow, communicate, and reach their full potential. That is exactly why I started this organization. My goal is straightforward — raise money from people who care, and give every single dollar directly to families here in Georgia who are struggling to afford the support their child needs. Funds raised will go toward covering the out of pocket costs of therapy sessions, assistive and sensory devices, and diagnostic evaluations for children whose families simply cannot afford them on their own. There is no complicated process, no money being eaten up by overhead costs, and no bureaucracy standing between a donor and the child they are helping. I genuinely believe that a child's ability to access life-changing support should never be determined by how much money their family has in the bank, and as long as I am able to do something about that, I will.
