<div>Yesterday, my family lost my uncle Billy, and we are heartbroken. Billy struggled with heart problems and sleep apnea, but unfortunately, his condition was downplayed by doctors and treatment was delayed. He passed away suddenly, most likely from cardiac arrest. We are now facing the difficult task of saying goodbye and honoring his memory, and I am reaching out for help to cover funeral expenses and a celebration of life for Billy.

<div>Billy was truly one of a kind. He knew everyone, and everyone knew him. He was always ready to help anyone in need, never hesitating to give someone the shirt off his back or offer guidance to kids who needed it. Billy was the life of every party, always making people laugh and bringing joy wherever he went. People called him the Mayor of Sunnydale because you could always hear him coming down the street, greeting everyone with his infectious energy. He was an amazing dad, grandfather, brother, son, uncle, friend, and person. Our family and community will miss him deeply.

Coming Together for Bree and Her Family

<div>It is with heavy hearts that we must inform you that we lost a Brother on April 4, 2025. Jack Daniel “JD” Luevano succumbed to his battle with stomach cancer. He was diagnosed back in 2023 and fought really hard for nearly 2 years. JD is survived by his wife Danyka, 5 children, family, and his Brothers and Sisters at SMUD and IBEW 1245. JD was a Cable Splicer/Electrician Apprentice (Downtown Network Dept.) at SMUD when he was diagnosed. He had previously worked in the Substation department as a High Voltage Electrician Apprentice. Not only was he eager to learn, but he was very passionate about his work. Always ready to learn and lend a hand to anyone. No matter what was going on in his life, he always had a smile on his face. His pride and joy was his family. He hated missing any of his kids' events. He loved coaching his kids and being at their games. In his free time, he also enjoyed hanging out with his friends and riding his motorcycle.

Support for the Nieves Mondragon Family

<div>For those that may not know, Jason and Jim Philpot of Philpot Racing were unfortunately recent victims of arson. After the races on April 9th, their trailer was deliberately set on fire. Their racecar, tools and spare parts were all in the trailer when the fire occurred. The Philpot Racing family has been a part of grassroots racing for over 45 years, dating back to the days of Jim’s brother, Bob Philpot, racing late models. Jason has followed in his uncle’s footsteps and continued the Philpot Racing tradition, racing modifieds for the last 25+ years.

<div>Philpot Racing is on hold indefinitely while they try to put the pieces back together. Unfortunately all avenues of insurance coverage are panning out to cover only a sliver of what it would cost to get Jason back to the race track. I am creating this GoFundMe account to help recoup some of the losses incurred in hopes that the Philpot family can continue doing what they love.
