Food, Rosie, Elvis, CivCiv and a cautious update on Kül (with photos of Rosie, Civciv and Kül) The situation at the Stray Cat Sanctuary remains very difficult, especially when it comes to food. Yaz is struggling again to cover the daily food needs. With so many animals depending on her, every food purchase only lasts a short time, and she is constantly trying to find a way to buy enough for the cats inside, the cats outside, and the animals who need special food. There are also new medical worries. Rosie is currently at the clinic because of bladder problems. Her clinic costs alone are already around 15,000 TL (€275). Yaz is hoping to bring her home on Monday or Tuesday, but for now Rosie still needs monitoring and treatment. CivCiv also needs medication. Yaz had to get additional pills for CivCiv, and we will share photos as well. Elvis, who recently had a relapse, had been brought inside so Yaz could keep a closer eye on him. Sadly, it did not work out with the other cats, and he attacked Pon badly. This adds another difficult situation to an already overwhelming time. There is also an update on Kül. We mentioned her a few months ago because there was concern that the mass in her mouth could be cancer. For now, we can give a cautious sigh of relief. The vet believes the problems are linked to chronic changes around the tonsils and salivary glands. This is also causing the swelling under her tongue and a chronic sinus infection, with swelling around her nose and forehead. Kül now needs antibiotics for 20 days and cortisone for 6 days. Yaz will probably bring her into the house because she is hard to catch and needs regular medication. We urgently need donations now for food, medication, clinic care and essential supplies. Sakız urgently needs surgery Sakız is deaf and was hit by a car. The driver left her behind with severe injuries. Her jaw and one of the bones surrounding her eye are fractured, which means she urgently needs surgery. So far, Yeşim has only been able to cover the necessary CT scan. The operation costs 68,000 TL – approximately €1,220. Without support, she cannot cover this large expense. Please help Sakız receive the urgent surgery she needs and recover from her serious injuries.

**Kirlos Animal Rescue: 56 animals in daily care and high veterinary costs** The situation at Kirlos Animal Rescue remains difficult. Öznur currently provides regular care for **50 cats and 6 dogs**. Their monthly food needs alone are around **50 kg of cat food and 45 kg of dog food**. In August, **12 animals were newly rescued or taken into care**. **Five animals were neutered and 12 received medical treatment.** The ongoing costs are a major burden: **12 animals are currently in paid boarding**, costing around **120,000 TL per month** in total. At the same time, the current **veterinary debt is approximately 180,000 TL**. Öznur therefore lists **veterinary treatment** as the most urgent need. New emergencies continue to arise alongside the animals already in her care, so treatment, food and accommodation must be financed on an ongoing basis. Birben’s situation has become even more difficult. In her latest September report, she says she is still caring for around 60 cats, while her monthly food requirement has increased to approximately 80 kg of cat food. The biggest burden remains the veterinary debt. Birben currently reports 715,000 TL owed to Patilogy Veterinary Clinic, plus another 203,885 TL still outstanding at Medlife Veterinary Clinic. Together, this amounts to around 918,885 TL, or approximately €17,067 at an exchange rate of €1 = 53.84 TL. These debts are now directly affecting the animals’ care. Birben says that because of the unpaid clinic bills, she is struggling even to buy food for the cats she cares for at home and on the streets. She is also finding it extremely difficult to afford internal and external parasite treatments and essential combination vaccinations. Most worrying is that she is currently unable to simply take sick cats to the clinic for new treatment when they need help. In her latest report, no new medical treatments or spay/neuter procedures were recorded. There is also continued pressure from the outstanding Medlife debt. Birben fears that the unpaid balance could be referred for legal collection at any time. She urgently needs support to reduce the veterinary debt while still covering the basic needs of around 60 cats. Food, parasite treatment, vaccinations, and necessary medical care cannot stop simply because old bills remain unpaid. **Betül Cute Cats – Food for 20 Cats and 10 Dogs** At Betül Cute Cats, the daily care of the animals continues. In her current September report, Betül lists 20 cats and 10 dogs whom she regularly cares for or feeds. She needs approximately 75 kg of cat food and 60 kg of dog food every month. Food is currently her most urgent need. By the time of her report on 10 September, five animals had also been rescued or newly taken into her care, two had been neutered, and five had received medical treatment. Alongside these individual cases, the daily challenge remains to provide all the animals in her care with reliable and sufficient food. Urgent Update: Smokin Needs Brain Surgery Smokin urgently needs our help again. After everything he has already been through, he is now facing another major medical procedure: a shunt needs to be surgically placed in his brain. His rescuer has to pay 70,000 TL (approx. €1,240) for the surgery. This is an enormous amount that she cannot cover on her own, so she is urgently asking for support. Smokin has already completed his 84-day FIP treatment and has fought through so much. Now he needs our help once again so that this necessary surgery can take place. Curry is once again in a very critical condition. Over the past weeks, Alara had to keep buying food for the many dogs in her care, and because of this she could no longer afford Curry’s medication regularly. He has been without important medication for weeks.Now Curry is blocked again: he cannot defecate, and there is blood coming from his anus. This is an acute emergency. Right now, 6,500 TL (~ €152) is urgently missing to cover Curry’s medication and immediate care.Curry has been fighting for so long. Without his medication, his condition keeps worsening, and every day without treatment makes the situation more dangerous. Please help now if you can. Infection Has Returned After Surgery Sadly, there are new worries at Chain of Favour Animal Rescue. This little boy has already undergone surgery, during which part of his tail had to be removed. After the operation, he was placed in a cat boarding facility because he still needed care and observation while recovering. At his check-up ten days later, however, another infection was discovered. He has now been admitted to the veterinary clinic and is currently receiving inpatient treatment. Depending on how his condition develops, another surgery may even be necessary. After his first surgery and boarding stay, this means further veterinary and treatment costs for Chain of Favour. At the same time, all the other rescued cats still depend on the project for food, litter, and medical care.
