<div>In Istanbul, our volunteer Selma encountered a cat in dire condition. The cat was weak, disoriented, and collapsed at her feet as if he instinctively knew she could help. Selma acted quickly and took him to the vet.

<div>The examination revealed several serious health issues. He had discharge coming from his ear, his teeth were severely decayed, and he was suffering from a significant systemic infection. Blood tests and X-rays were conducted the same day, and treatment began immediately.

<div>Currently, he is still in intensive care. Once he regains some strength, he will require further diagnostics and a minor dental procedure to remove the most severely damaged teeth.

<div>In Gaziantep, a city in southeastern Turkey, our project coordinator, Emine, cares for nearly 200 cats. Many of these cats are sick, injured, or abandoned and require regular food, attention, and medical treatment.

<div>Ayse also provides for another 30 cats in the building complex where she has lived in Istanbul. The residents won`t feed them, so she sends food to the caretaker.

<div>The expenses have been covered mostly by myself, sometimes by my close circle of friends and family and very little by international support:

<div>I have to buy food (normal cat food and special needs food) for the cats. Sometimes, I take them to the Üsküdar municipality clinic for treatment. Sometimes, taking them to private clinics is necessary since the municipality clinic is insufficient for the cats` needs.

<div>Approximately 70 cats are currently living on the campus.
</div>
<div>I showcase these areas on my Instagram account. I have neutered about 60% of them. I neutered most of them at the municipality, except those requiring gas anaesthesia. Cat-loving students helped me distribute food and take sick cats to the Veterinarian.

<div>I am currently trying to raise 7,500 TL (approx. 205€) for a cat (the cat has been at the clinic for 25 days) that needs urgent ear surgery, a CT scan and tests. Additionally, I have a young cat patient who has been using GS capsules for 10 days. Due to financial reasons, I cannot take in 2 adult cats on campus that need medical treatment.
