<div>Some of you know I’ve had hearing loss since childhood. It runs in my family; my mom, two brothers, two nieces, one nephew, and even my son all deal with it.

<div>Before I had hearing aids, everyday conversations were a struggle. I constantly had to ask people to repeat themselves, especially working in a school environment. It was frustrating and, at times, isolating.

<div>Back in 2017, I was blessed because many of you showed up for me through a GoFundMe, and I was able to get my first pair of hearing aids when I moved to Florida.

<div>I was able to get hearing aids 5 years ago through my other insurance. Now, 5 years later, those hearing aids are wearing out. The battery doesn’t last a full day anymore, and it’s starting to affect my ability to function the way I need to at work, at home, and with people.

<div>The cost for new hearing aids is $5,500. With insurance, I can reduce that cost. My issue is that I have a $1,900 deductible which can only be paid little by little when I go to the doctor, which I rarely do.

<div>On top of that, after losing my job last year for several months, my family is still recovering financially. <strong>This just isn’t something I can handle on my own right now.</strong>

<div>So I’m asking for help.
