Help Me Care for Chakra and Dharma During a Difficult Time Hello friends, family, and kind strangers, My name is Anna, and I work behind the camera in television and film as a First Assistant Director. For years, I've built my career helping productions run safely, efficiently, and on schedule. Like many professionals in the entertainment industry, however, I've been deeply affected by the prolonged slowdown that has impacted television and film production over the last several years. As a result, I've been without steady work for nearly two years, relying on occasional short-term gigs while continuing to search for consistent employment and new opportunities. I've done everything I can to stay afloat, but I've reached a point where I need help caring for the two companions who have stood by me through every challenge: my beloved rescue dogs, Chakra and Dharma. Chakra and Dharma are more than pets, they are family. Both are rescue dogs who found their way into my life when they were very young. I rescued Chakra when he was just three months old, and he recently celebrated his 10th birthday. I rescued Dharma when she was eight months old, a foster fail lol and she is now 8 years old. For nearly a decade, they have been my constant companions through long production days, career milestones, personal challenges, and everything in between. Through uncertain times, they have provided unconditional love, comfort, loyalty, and a reason to keep moving forward every day. Now, as they enter their senior years, I want to make sure they continue to receive the care they need and deserve. The funds raised will help cover essential expenses, including: • Annual vaccinations and routine veterinary care • Dental cleanings to maintain their long-term health • Prescription dog food required because of food sensitivities • Monthly allergy injections for Chakra • Grooming and hygiene care • Diagnostic testing for lipomas and other health concerns • Temporary boarding or pet care when necessary These expenses currently total hundreds of dollars each month, with additional veterinary costs that can quickly become overwhelming. While I continue pursuing work opportunities in the industry I love, I'm asking for temporary support to help ensure Chakra and Dharma remain healthy, comfortable, and cared for. My fundraising goal of $7,000 reflects the estimated cost of several months of essential care, veterinary treatment, prescription food, allergy medication, grooming, diagnostic testing, and temporary care. Asking for help is not easy, but these two dogs have given me years of unconditional love, and I want to do everything I can to give them the same in return.
