My name is Katy, and I’m reaching out because my family and I are facing a difficult time. After my husband suffered a breakdown due to drugs and alcohol, our lives changed dramatically. He was hospitalized and jailed, and the State’s Attorney filed charges. I made the decision to leave the state for the safety of my family, moving to Missouri with my four children. I had to drop out of school and take whatever jobs I could find just to keep us afloat.
Recently, I suffered an injury that requires surgery, but I lost my health insurance when I lost my job. Now, I’m struggling to provide for my household, which includes my grandchildren, ages 6 and 4. I want to keep working and caring for my family, but the bills are piling up and I’m worried about being evicted. I don’t want to rely on food stamps or Medicare—I just want a chance to get back on my feet and continue supporting my loved ones.
Any donations will go directly to food, rent, medical bills, outstanding educational expenses, and car repairs. We would also be grateful for a donated car or mechanical services. I’ve always worked hard and will continue to do so, but right now, I need a little help and hope from my community. Thank you for reading and for any support you can offer.
a 500 dollar donation would pay the repair bill for my van being vandalized…. The door and ignition are on tumblers that are synchronized… when my van was broken into, the ignition no longer recognizes my key remote and they don’t communicate
a 400 dollar donation would pay my Ameren bill
a 100 dollar donation would buy a weeks worth of groceries
a 50 dollar donation would provide a month of water
a 25 dollar donation would provide trash service
a 40 dollar donation would provide service
I need help with an attorney because I’d like my job back and all my benefits. I have contacted EEOC and I am waiting for the right to sue. I was injured at work and need a surgery to repair injured area. I have utilized my employment insurance money and need help.
I am afraid I will lose my home. It’s not much, but it is mine and I have had to tolerate a lot as a single mother over 40 with four children. I worked over nights, mid shifts, and days…. sometimes two or three jobs just to keep lights on and roof over head.
a 1000 dollar donation would provide one month of housing and 1 medium 1 topping pizza.
a 5000 dollar donation would cover 97.9% of a college fees/bill where A plus scholarship was not applied due to a technical glitch and the college is holding us accountable for a computer error that we did not notice and neither did they. Then my daughter could have her transcript released and attend junior college and work part time.
A ten thousand dollar donation would bring all my accounts current.
A 20,000 dollar donation would cover all my past expand provide 5 months of rental relief and fix the ignition/door lock, heat and air conditioner in my van, or I could find reliable transportation and accept light duty employment until I have my arm repaired. I would directly pay my rent in advance so I don’t worry about housing. So I could focus on surgery and my medical issues and employment, while caring for grandchildren.
Maybe you know some one who could help? Please share my story…
