<div><strong>LA BRIGADA REGRESA A MORELOS </strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>THE BRIGADE RETURNS TO MORELOS</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>The 7th National Search Brigade will return to the state of Morelos in November of 2022, </strong>to continue reinforcing efforts in the search for the disappeared in the state, and we need your support.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>One year after our last collective intervention, the National Brigade in Search for the Disappeared will return to the state of Morelos. In 2021, the Brigade faced the harsh reality experienced by local families, and will now return with the intention of strengthening all forms of the search there. More than 300 families and 100 people working in solidarity, from 27 states of the country, joined the work that was done in 2021, during two 15-day spans, that energized all possibilities identified for the search, peace building and reconstruction of the social fabric in 15 localities of Morelos.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thanks to your support and that of other people, organizations, and local, national and international communities working in solidarity, the BNB was able to recover 11 people in the field, five of whom have been identified and have been able to return to their families. Together we impacted more than 6,500 people in local society, including children and educational workers, as well as municipal and state police. Since the closing of the 6th BNB, the local families of Morelos, hand in hand with the Brigade, have built and launched a work route that will allow us for the first time, in 2022, to intervene an entire state through our six strategic frontlines of work: schools, churches, sensitization, on the ground field search, search for the living and identification.

<div><strong>SOBRE LA BÚSQUEDA DE PERSONAS DESAPARECIDAS EN MÉXICO</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>ABOUT THE SEARCH FOR THE DISAPPEARED IN MEXICO</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Mexico has more than <strong>100,000 disappeared people,</strong> mainly, as a result of the War on Drugs and the militarization of the country. As a response to this tremendous loss, and an ineffectual government, families across Mexico have organized to search the countryside, institutions, prisons, and the streets for their missing loved ones.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Each year more than 160 collectives of families organize nationally for an event called “The National Search Brigade¨ (Brigada Nacional de Búsqueda or BNB) in which families conduct a large scale search for their disappeared loved ones, host community-based public awareness events through local government, schools and churches, and build peace to restore the social fabric within their communities.

<div><strong>AYUDA MUTUA PARA LA BÚSQUEDA</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>LOS FONDOS OBTENIDOS PROVEERÁN: </strong>
</div>
</div>
<div>– <strong>Comida, alojamiento, transporte, seguridad y equipo</strong>.
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>MUTUAL AID FOR THE SEARCH</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We are seeking Mutual Aid Funds to ensure this year's search efforts can continue safely for all families and volunteers in the continuing context of the pandemic. Last year's brigade happened thanks to family members of the disappeared and people working in solidarity who traveled to Morelos from across Mexico and abroad. This year, the Brigade must continue to restrict the number of assistants to ensure safety for all of the families and organizers in the context of the pandemic.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>MUTUAL AID FUNDS WILL PROVIDE: </strong>
</div>
<div>– PPE, masks, and harm reduction materials for all families and volunteers, including COVID testing.
</div>
<div><strong>– Food, accommodation, transportation, security, tools.</strong>
</div>
<div>– Workshops and training for family members and supporters.
