If you know Logan you know he’s an awesome lil guy who loves everyone. Caring, sensitive and has amazing comebacks! He’s 13, in heart failure with a rare genetic condition. AARS2 gene mutation. It’s 100% fatal, he’s only the second person in the world to survive past infancy. All others are diagnosed as infants and pass by their first birthday. He’s currently on the heart transplant list, priority 1A. He’s also autistic and has been a fighter his entire life. Logan’s journey started in November with vomiting, a chest x-ray and a diagnosis of viral cardiomyopathy at Hershey Children’s. He was given IV IG which did not help and he was airlifted to CHOP (Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia). After the exam there it was decided he needed an LVAD as his heart was only pumping at 10% and had we waited he wouldn’t have made it. After the LVAD was implemented and after genetic testing Logan was diagnosed with AARS2 gene mutation which caused the heart failure. The LVAD is a stop gap to get him to transplant. Without a transplant his heart will continue to fail. This disease is 100% fatal. We are hoping to be able to raise some money to help offset the cost of the transplant as well as the travel costs. Logan is not currently in the hospital but we could get the call any day. Prayers are also appreciated. Thank you.

<div>Hi, my name is Kelly and my brother Todd along with our families would like to tell you about our mom, Bonnie Olcus.  She is a wife, mother, sister, aunt, and Ninna to 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.  She's a very caring, kind, loving and generous person.  She loves her family, friends, community and her occupation as a Realtor.  Our mom loves living in Lake Meade where she resides with her husband, Bill and dog, Gracee.  She has had 2 businesses that she ran to provide services to the community of Lake Meade.  She enjoys boating all summer and attending any events that the lake offers.  Both I and my brother Todd live in the Lake and are raising our own families here.  Bonnie is very passionate about her career as a Realtor.  She enjoys spending as much time as she can with her family and friends.

<div>Unfortunately, our lives all changed on Sunday, February 12, 2023.  Our mother had a fall which resulted in a severe spinal cord injury.  Bonnie underwent surgery to stabilize her spine on February 14, 2023.  She is currently in the Trauma ICU.  She was able to get a tracheostomy last week but is still on a ventilator.  At this time she is considered a quadriplegic.  When she becomes more stable she will need to go to an acute care facility.  We are hopeful that we can get her into a spinal rehab.  There are states around us that do trial stem cell injections which have made huge improvements on people who have a similar diagnosis as our mom.  These stem cell injections are not covered by insurance and come with a high cost.  We have faith that she will be able to eventually return home and be able to have a lot more control of her body but we need to be aggressive and be able to get her the treatments and therapy that she needs.  Any contributions made to this page will directly benefit our mom's health and recovery by helping to cover some of the out-of-pocket expenses such as treatments, therapies, medical transport and home renovations necessary to give her a positive environment to eventually come home to.  No one knows what the final result will be but we hope that we will be able to get her the best chance to have as normal a life as possible.

<div>As we prepare for the busyness of this Holiday Season, our good friend and coworker Roby Strine is preparing for an entirely different season…..a season of trial and difficulty as he undergoes treatment for a very recently diagnosed cancer.

<div>Roby has been diagnosed with Nasopharyngeal cancer of the throat, a rare sinus cancer. His treatments are going to begin with the start of the new year. Doctors are hopeful in the treatment with the advances in science, but it is going to be a marathon for Roby and his significant other, Michelle as she supports him through the treatments.

<div>My name is Bill Stover. I work with Roby, and this has touched many of us a we seek to do what we can to support our dear friend in this battle. We have high deductible insurance at our place of employment. Roby will have to meet his deductible for the remainder of this year and the beginning of the next, which will be over $8000 out of the gate. He will only receive partial pay through his 6 month treatment period from disability insurance. The financial burden will be large as income shrinks and bills accumulate quickly, and is just another aspect of the large challenge ahead.

<div>Daniel (Dan) Lage’ was a loving brother, son, father, grandfather, significant other, and friend. Unfortunately, Dan contracted COVID and ended up in the hospital. Although he fought valiantly, he went home to be with the Lord on 01/20/2022 at 12:33am. Daniel leaves behind 3 sons and a daughter as well as a girlfriend and ex-wife who he remained close to. He also leaves behind several grandchildren.
