What they care about

Hello! My name is Saima and I have created this account on behalf of my cousin Noureen Manzoor who lives in Pakistan and has been rescuing animals since 2020.

Animals
I’m sharing this on behalf of my cousin Noureen Manzoor, a dedicated animal rescuer living in Orangi Town, Karachi, Pakistan: Hello, I'm seeking donations to help support the rescued animals currently in my care, as well as future rescues, many of whom require urgent medical treatment, including surgeries, medications, and specialized diets to recover and survive. Since 2020, I have personally rescued more than 40 injured, sick, and abused animals, including cats, dogs, and young puppies, some of whom were victims of poisoning. Because I don't have a dedicated shelter, all my rescued animals live with me in my home, where I provide them with food, medical care, and plenty of love. However, with the rising costs of quality pet food and veterinary care, it is becoming increasingly difficult for me to continue without help. Every day, countless stray animals in my city suffer from hunger, illness, neglect, and violence. Your support, no matter how small, can make a real difference in saving their lives and giving them a chance to heal and feel safe again. Below are the stories of some of the rescued animals in my care: Lucky was found when he was only a month old, after his mother had been poisoned. As he grew older, he started having trouble urinating, and after examination and imaging, we found stones in his bladder. He had to undergo a cystotomy, which helped for a while, but the stones eventually came back, causing a life-threatening blockage in his bladder. Now, thankfully, after his Perineal Urethrostomy (PU) surgery, he is doing well but needs a strict urinary diet and monthly examinations at the vet to monitor and prevent the stones from recurring. This year, I found Golu, a seven-month-old kitten, struggling to breathe by the side of the road; a shop owner said he had been hit by a motorbike some days ago. The nearest vet at the time gave him life-saving steroids so he could survive the journey to a better clinic. He had suffered a diaphragmatic hernia and was kept on oxygen therapy for four days so his body could stabilize for surgery. It's been a month and a half since he was operated on, and he's doing well. Currently, he's being treated for a worm infestation (since he was a stray, he had not been dewormed before and couldn't be dewormed for at least a month post-op) and gastrointestinal issues. Sweety had been attacked by a group of boys. She was found hiding under a car, whimpering in pain and terrified of humans. I stayed with her, trying to gain her trust so she would come out, and thankfully, she did. She was treated for her wounds and eventually vaccinated and spayed. She now lives at my house with her four doggy friends. It is heartbreaking to say, but Pakistan is not a safe place for animals. The few shelters that exist are already overcrowded and struggling to keep up, which means the responsibility often falls on ordinary people like us to protect and care for these innocent souls. If this resonates with you in any way, I hope you’ll consider supporting me in whatever capacity you can. Your generosity can save their lives. Regards, Noureen Manzoor
Hello, my name is Saima. I have created this GoFundMe account on behalf of my cousin, Noureen Manzoor, who lives in Karachi, Pakistan and rescues stray animals. Lucky is a rescued male cat and a very special part of Noureen’s life. He was rescued years ago and has been given love, safety, and care ever since. Unfortunately, Lucky is now suffering from a Urinary Tract Infection (UTI), which is painful and serious if not treated properly. The veterinarian has prescribed urgent medicines and medicated food, which are absolutely essential for Lucky’s recovery and to help him live a healthy, pain-free life. These treatments are costly, and Noureen manages all rescue and medical expenses on her own. Since 2020, Noureen has rescued 40+ animals, including injured, sick, poisoned, and abandoned cats and dogs. Due to limited animal welfare resources in Pakistan, she often keeps rescued animals at her own home and pays vet bills from her personal savings. Your support can make a real difference. Please help Lucky get the treatment he urgently needs so he can heal and continue living a healthy life. Every small donation means hope, relief, and survival for this innocent soul. Thank you for standing with Lucky
