My journey as an author began in childhood, inspired by my father’s passion for the origins of measurement. He owned a granite quarry in Escondido, California, where we manufactured precision surface plates for industries building planes, trains, and automobiles. My father’s curiosity led him to Egypt to study the Royal Cubit, and when he brought home a replica, I was just eight years old. That moment sparked a lifelong fascination with the history and meaning of measurement, eventually leading me to run our family business and create my own replicas of the Royal Cubit as collector’s items.
Driven by a desire to understand the deeper significance of the Royal Cubit in Egyptian society, I spent over twenty years immersed in academic research. I published studies on Academia.edu, connected with leading scholars, and became an expert in the origins of lineal measurement. My work has reached over 2,000 academics, but I realized that this ancient wisdom was only being shared within a small circle. That realization inspired me to write 'Sophia, The Goddess of Divine Wisdom,' a philosophical fantasy that brings these profound ideas to life for a much broader audience.
The manuscript for 'Sophia' is complete, and I am preparing to self-publish soon. I am seeking patron support to cover production expenses, promotion costs, and the rental of an author’s office studio. I have a detailed budget and a plan to recognize patrons according to their level of giving. Your support will help me share this important work with the world and ensure that the wisdom of the ancients reaches new generations. I will share my budget and patron awards on this GoFundMe page, and every contribution will help make this project a reality. Thank you for believing in the power of knowledge and supporting my mission.
