TRANSPLANT DAY! Update! Transplant day 1 Braxton is doing so well! The team said he is doing so much better than anyone was expecting! He is still having some blood pressure fluctuations, so the team has lot of meds on board to help with this! He is currently on pacing wires, because his rhythm became abnormal, although the pacing is working. The next several days will be pretty crucial! The team will be allowing him to rest for the next several days, and hopefully we can close his chest on Sunday or Monday! He is on the ventilator and nitric oxide which goes into his lungs and helps open up and dilate all of his vessels. He did spike a temperature this morning, although the team put him on a cooling blanket which seemed to do the trick! This can just be from ask of the stress the surgery caused to his body. Overall everything is looking good! Thank you so much for all of the prayers and support! Please continue to pray for the donor family! Words cannot express how grateful we are to them!
