Our sweet cat, Grimm, is turning 9 this year, and he has always been so much more than just a pet — he’s family. He’s been there through hard days, quiet nights, and so many moments of comfort and love. Anyone who knows Grimm knows how affectionate, goofy, and full of personality he is.
What started as a small growth on his ear quickly turned into something much more serious. After having the growth removed and sent to the lab for testing, we received heartbreaking news: the cancer had spread to his spleen. The vets told us that removing his spleen as soon as possible gives him the best chance at more time, comfort, and quality of life.
Seeing him go through this has been devastating. Even now, Grimm still curls up beside us, asks for attention, purrs when he’s comforted, and shows the same sweet spirit that made us fall in love with him all those years ago. He still has so much life and love left in him, and we want to give him every chance we can.
We are doing everything possible to help him, but the costs of surgery, testing, medications, and recovery are overwhelming for us to handle alone. Asking for help is incredibly difficult, but Grimm means the world to us.
If you’re able to donate, share this fundraiser, or even keep Grimm in your thoughts, it would mean more than we can ever express. Every contribution, no matter how small, helps bring Grimm closer to the surgery he urgently needs. Thank you for reading our story and helping us fight for Grimm.
