We just returned from the most important trip, and we couldn’t wait to share these special moments with the community that made it possible. It had been nearly a year since Ben last saw his best friend, Elouise, who also lives with the ultra-rare disease H-ABC (TUBB4A-related leukodystrophy). Thanks to this GoFundMe and our new van, we were finally able to make the long road trip down to Maryland to see her. Reuniting our two families meant more than words can express, and we are so deeply grateful Ben was able to make the journey. Even though Ben wasn’t feeling his best during the trip, he told us it was 100% worth it. He is back home now, resting and taking time to recover from the travel.
