<div>As you all know by now Angel had a bilateral lung transplant last October. Until a few weeks ago he was on track with his recovery when suddenly had to be hospitalized due to complications caused by infection and lung rejection. Unfortunately things took a turn for the worst and the unthinkable happened. Angel unfortunately suffered a cardiac arrest while being intubated due to poor oxygen levels and now we find ourselves planning for something that we thought wouldn’t happen until we reached old age. Angel fought a tough fight with a heart full of love, and strength by maintaining a high spirit making sure that his friends and family were also in high spirits. Angel was the type of person that showed up even when dealing with his own situation he was always there to lend a helping hand or just some kind words of inspiration. Due to the financial hard ship from the initial procedure we find ourselves seeking help to assist us in giving Angel a great father, fiancé, brother, son, nephew and most of all a great friend the farewell that he so rightfully deserves.

<div>This is Michelle Martinez, Angels fiance, and I would like to introduce you to our story. In 2020 after COVID hit, Angel was diagnosed with End stage Sarcoidosis along with Invasive Aspergillosis (Fungal infection); that we can not seem to figure out the cause or the best course of treatment. Because of these unexpected circumstances, Angel can no longer work and immediately suffered a life-changing experience. Fast forward three years later, after joggling numerous medications and treatments, it is unfortunate to say the infection is worse. A double lung transplant is needed because the medication that he's been on are no longer working. We can not move forward until the correct regimen is in place. Needless to say, these are some hard and devastating times for him and our family, and we would like to reach out for any possible donations. He is currently hospitalized in NYP with some major complications. Between medical bills, transportation, medication cost and other financial expenses, it has been impossible to keep up with everything. While please keep us in your prayers as we fight for another breath in life, any donations are greatly appreciated.

Angels Lung transplant journey

Hilarys Marie Rivera, better known to most people as Goldy, is <b>everything</b>. She is a daughter, a sister, a mom, a cousin, an aunt, a friend....and now a Leukemia warrior. 
<div>In November, Goldy was diagnosed with acute promyelocytic leukemia. To say that everything changed in an instant, is an understatement.  Not only was this mother newly diagnosed with cancer, but she needed to start treatment immediately and due to Covid... She needed to do this alone.  She was not allowed any visitors, had to tell her children and parents of her diagnosis over FaceTime and had to start this journey without hand to hold.  <span style="letter-spacing:.0085px;">I made a promise that the last thing my friend would need to worry about, is her medical bills. </span>

The One Where Goldy Kicks Leukemia's Butt

<p><span style="font-size:1.0625rem;">  With a heavy heart we share the news that on May 24, 2020, Covid 19 took our beloved father, Ausencio Aguilar, “El Tigre” from us. After battling for a month and a half, God called our “Tigre” to Heaven. We were able to get a glimpse of his recovery, but things took an unexpected turn, and we faced the harsh decision to disconnect him. He fought this disease until the very end. He is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.</span>
</p>

<p><br /> <span style="font-size:1.0625rem;">Before Covid 19 he was very self-sufficient and did not wait for anyone. His love for his wife was immense, that he always took care of her. I know this loss has destroyed our mother as they were inseparable for over 45 years.</span>
</p>

<p><br />We want to remember for his kind heart, always willing to lend a helping hand and cheerful spirit. He would always greet you with a smile. He was a fighter for life and never gave up. All his hard work has inspired us to keep pushing forward, just the way he was during his life.<br /><br /> <br />We are asking for your support during this challenging time for our family. We want to provide a burial for our father and fulfill his last wishes. My nephew Ivan, lovingly known as Wino, was a fighter from the very beginning. He was sick since he was a baby, and my sister made the difficult decision to move to Boston so he could receive better treatments for his condition. For a couple of years, Ivan showed incredible strength and resilience, bringing hope to our family as he made progress. Unfortunately, his health took a turn when one of his kidneys shut down. From there, things became even more challenging—he battled frequent pneumonia and began to have serious problems with his heart and lungs. Despite all the hardships, Ivan continued to inspire us with his courage and the love he shared with everyone around him.

 Yesterday morning, around eight, Ivan suffered a heart attack and passed away. Our family is heartbroken by this loss. We want to honor Ivan’s memory and give him the farewell he deserves, surrounded by those who loved him most. The funds raised will help cover the costs of his funeral service, burial, and flowers for his casket. We are also hoping to bring his grandparents from Puerto Rico so they can be with us to say goodbye to their beloved grandson.
