Mittens is a beloved neighborhood cat who has always brought a little extra joy to our block. For the past three days, he had been sick—he wasn’t eating or drinking, and his usual playful spirit was gone. Some neighbors worried he might have been poisoned or attacked by a dog, but he was able to get urgent care.
At the vet, Mittens was diagnosed with a severe upper respiratory infection and was found to be severely dehydrated. He needed immediate treatment, and while under sedation, he was also neutered to help prevent future litters. All the necessary bloodwork was done to make sure he was getting the best care possible. The vet bill quickly added up, but Mittens deserved every chance to recover.
Mittens still has a fight ahead of him. He needs oral antibiotics twice a day for the next two weeks, and his recovery will take time and continued care. I’m reaching out to our community for help with his vet bill—every dollar raised will go directly to Mittens’ treatment and recovery. Thank you so much for considering a donation and for helping give Mittens the healthy, happy life he deserves. Your support will help Mittens get back on his paws so he can continue visiting all the homes in the neighborhood and bringing everyone joy!
