In a remote northern Manitoba community, dogs are multiplying faster than the community can safely manage. With no local veterinary access, limited transportation, and seasonal road access challenges, the situation in Gods Lake has reached a crisis point. Right now, multiple dogs urgently need to be pulled out of the community before the situation becomes dangerous for both the dogs and the people living there. Without intervention, community leaders may be forced to make devastating decisions simply because there are no resources, no accessible spay/neuter programs, and nowhere for these dogs to go. We are trying to change that. Our goal is to head there in June & rescue as many dogs as possible, but we need your help! Funds raised will go directly towards helping get these dogs to safety! Northern communities are facing an overwhelming overpopulation crisis, and this is not caused by neglect or lack of caring. Many communities simply do not have access to vets, animal services, or consistent rescue support. Every dollar helps us get another dog to safety. For the fourth year in a row, we are heading back to Bali — a place we love deeply, but also a place where thousands of dogs are struggling to survive. Many live on the streets without access to food, medical care, or even the basic safety they deserve. Overpopulation leads to needless suffering, disease, and fear, and many local families simply cannot afford sterilization or vaccinations for their pets. Every year, we go directly into remote communities to change that. What We Do ✨ Host Free Sterilization Clinics: We set up pop-up clinics in remote villages where veterinary care is nearly impossible to access. Sterilization is the single most effective way to break the cycle of overpopulation and suffering. ✨ Provide Free Vaccinations: We vaccinate dogs against deadly diseases—especially rabies—which protects both the animals and the people who live alongside them. ✨ Support Local Rescuers & On-the-Ground Heroes: We work hand-in-hand with incredible local rescuers who give everything they have but often lack resources. We use your donations to supply food, medical care, medications, transport, and emergency support for the dogs they save every single day. ✨ Bring in Dogs With Urgent Medical Needs: Each year, we encounter dogs who would not survive without intervention—dogs suffering from severe wounds, infections, mange, injuries, and life-threatening conditions.
