Hi, my name is Monique Myers. I'm a recovery addict who moved from Charleston, South Carolina to Miami to rebuild my life. When I arrived in Miami, I stayed at Harbor Village, where I gained the tools I needed to turn my life around. I graduated from my recovery program on September 12th, 2025, and since then, I've been attending meetings and speaking to newcomers in recovery, letting them know they're not alone on their journey. Despite all the progress I've made, there are two things I still miss the most: finishing high school and going to college. During my addiction, I never had the chance to complete my education. The high school I attended lost its accreditation, which meant I couldn't use my diploma to enroll in college. Although I was able to start college for a while, I eventually had to withdraw because my credentials were no longer valid. I still have my college credits, but I need a recognized high school diploma to move forward. Now, I'm reaching out to my community for help. I want to go back to school, earn my diploma, and pursue my dream of a college degree in business management and administration. My ultimate goal is to start my own business, create something I can be proud of, and provide a better future for my children. Your support would mean the world to me, and I would be deeply grateful for any help you can offer as I work to achieve my dreams.
