Families who have already lost loved ones, livestock, crops, and their few possessions now live in fear—sheltering in overcrowded schools, temporary camps, or with relatives—knowing the next heavy rain could bring another tragedy. Bududa, in particular, has a tragic history of catastrophic landslides, with hundreds killed over the past decades and thousands displaced. Relocation to safer, flatter land is the proven, life-saving intervention. Many families still wait, trapped in high-risk zones, while others struggle to rebuild after displacement. Your support will directly fund urgent, community-centered relocation efforts, bridging gaps where government aid falls short. Funds will go toward: Land acquisition and preparation in safer, productive areas. Housing construction or home-building grants for durable shelters. Livelihood restoration — seeds, tools, training in sustainable farming, and small business support.
