Grub and Gomie were my sweet babies, my whole heart. They brought so much kindness and joy into my life, always loving and silly. Grub was 13 and Gomie was 12, and every day with them was a gift. On April 14th, I found out Grub had liver cancer, and I had to say goodbye to her unexpectedly. Just three days later, on April 17th, the vet came to help Gomie with a bad tooth, but discovered a severe bone infection in his jaw. I had to say goodbye to him, too, so soon after losing Grub. My heart is shattered. Losing both of my babies so suddenly has left me feeling lost and overwhelmed. I want to honor their memory and bring them home one last time by covering the euthanasia bill and having them cremated, so they can come back home to me. They meant everything to me, and I want to give them the loving farewell they deserve. If you are a fellow animal lover, I hope you understand how much Grub and Gomie meant to me. My pet pig Gomer has been my sweet and gentle companion for 12 years. He’s always been there to bring a smile to my face. Lately, though, Gomer hasn’t been himself. He developed an abscessed tooth that’s caused him a lot of discomfort. He’s been rubbing his cheek on things so much that he’s made a hole, and now his tooth is exposed. It’s heartbreaking to see him uncomfortable and not his usual happy self. The vet says Gomer needs surgery to pull the tooth. Watching him struggle has been so hard, and I just want to see him comfortable and healthy again. Gomer means so much to me and my family—he’s truly part of our lives, and we want to do everything we can to help him heal. Any support you can give would mean the world to us.
