Quinn and I met on social media, and over time, we’ve become incredibly close friends. Every time I visit her, I’m reminded of how she makes everyone feel like family—her warmth and kindness are truly special. She’s the kind of person who shows up for others, loves deeply, and gives endlessly without ever expecting anything in return.

 Last week, Quinn received the devastating news that she has kidney cancer. The diagnosis came after a series of medical appointments and tests, and now she faces urgent surgery to remove a tumor from her kidney. The situation is complicated by her previous surgeries, and there’s a chance she may lose her entire kidney. After surgery, she’ll need to stay in the hospital and may require further treatment like chemotherapy or radiation, depending on the biopsy results. As a server, Quinn doesn’t have short- or long-term disability, so being out of work for at least 4-6 weeks—possibly longer—means she won’t be able to pay her bills or cover basic living expenses.

<div>I am Captain Erik's wife, otherwise known as "Mission Control" on CaptainErikLIVE. I am writing this with a humbled heart, grateful for the safety and protection of our family. While my husband, Captain Erik, was in Miami for business with TikTok, hurricane Helene hit Treasure Island Florida - our home. The photo is of our residence several hours before the worst part of the storm. <strong>We’ve been completely displaced by Hurricane Helene and have lost everything including our boats and means to earn income.</strong> Storm surges of 7+ feet and sustained winds of 110 mph blew up to 8 feet of sand over the roads making them impassable. We still don't have access to the island where our home was located. Locals stuck on the island have reported a Mercedes sitting in the front yard on its side. Our sandbagged doors were blown wide open. Our boats are completely missing (no sign of them) and the house is uninhabitable. We have water damage up to 5+ feet inside and all personal belongings along with our computers and hard drives full of unused content we use to make money online are likely corrupted by salt water. This is the hardest blow as we cannot go back and re-claim the data that earns us money when we're not running charters. The sea took everything back. The aftermath has left us and our family homeless and in urgent need of shelter and basic resources.

<div>As a live-stream creator and charter captain in Tampa Bay, Captain Erik inspires audiences to pursue their dreams by Meeting the Requirements. Where we spend our time and attention affects the outcome of our lives, and we are choosing to view this as the beginning of a new chapter with new requirements. <strong>We will be spending our time, attention, and any funds received to:</strong>

<div>1. <strong>Purchase immediate and basic necessities</strong> such as shelter, food, clean drinking water, shoes, and clothing. Initially, this will be hotels, Air B&amp;B, and other housing options as they are available. Temporary housing is filling up fast from displaced victims of the storm and hotels have doubled their prices so this is a significant expense.

<div>2. <strong>Purchase the necessary gear required to keep the live-stream going.</strong> Creating content requires many pieces including battery packs, phone coolers, chargers, data storage, data restoration services, laptops, keyboards, editing software, mobile lighting, cables, cases etc.
</div>
<div>3. <strong>Get Captain Erik fishing again</strong>. Fishing rods, line, hooks, nets, reels, gloves, pliers, measuring tools, etc. It's all missing or ruined. We don't have a single rod or pack of hooks. 
</div>
<div>4. <strong>Vessel:</strong> This will be the most challenging requirement and <em>this cost is not reflected in our goal.</em> However, any amount over the goal will be attributed directly to getting Captain Erik back on the water and creating inspiring content.

Help Captain Erik and Family Restore Losses

<div>Hi everyone! I have never made a GoFundMe , but I feel that in this circumstance it is appropriate. I have an elderly friend named Donald who is 90 years old (91 in August!). He is also a disabled veteran (Airforce) who is taking care of his wife who just got diagnosed with dementia. They never had kids and they don't have any family left. He is the sweetest old man you could ever meet and loves his wife dearly. He takes care of her around the clock and his landlord is raising their rent and he is falling behind terribly with all of his bills. He's deathly afraid he's going to be displaced and that they are going to make his wife go to a home. I'm currently looking to find him a new place to rent that is within his budget, but I was hoping I could fundraise some money to lessen his load of financial stress. Any amount would help and any resources for a one bedroom first floor apartment or house to rent would be much appreciated in the Manchester area. I have looked into all sorts of resources, even section 8 housing for him and the waitlists are too long. Thanks again!

Help my elderly vet friend Donald!

<div>I am creating this to raise funds for a partner in the fire service, Ryan Cooper who has worked with the NRFD for 23 years. Ryan Cooper and his wife Erica, were going about their normal lives when Erica went in for gallbladder surgery and stone removal. While recovering from the surgery, Erica said something isnt right and the pain became unbearable so they decided to go back to MMH. It was then discovered that she had severe complications from the surgery and she was immediately rushed into surgery to fix the issues, but severe internal bleeding started. After multiple surgeries they were able to get the bleeding under control and she was transferred to Tampa General Hospital and placed in the ICU. After multiple days at TGH and numerous surgeries to fix everything up, Erica was cleared to be discharged and sent home after a total of 15 days spent in the hospital.

<div>She made it home for a couple of days until things took a turn for the worse. She was admitted back into TGH again due to pain, lack of appetite and shortness of breath. It was discovered multiple organs weren't functioning correctly along with an unknown infection. While being cared for, her vitals crashed and she went into respiratory distress. At that point she was put under anesthesia and intubated. She is still sedated and intubated at this time with today marking the 10th day. She has undergone more than 10 surgeries in the process with more to come. She remains at TGH in the ICU and will more than likely remain there for the upcoming weeks.

<div>We are hoping and praying that this will all end soon. Ryan is eager to get his wife back and to get home to be with their two children (Jacob &amp; Kaylee) putting this rough time in the past. Though the time in the hospital will be over, the long road of recovery at home will begin. This page is being created to assist with medical expenses that they will face now and the long list of things to come such as at home medical care and physical therapy .
