Autism Rocs is a community-driven organization created to support and uplift neurodiverse children and their families. Our mission is to provide a safe, understanding, and inclusive space where families can connect, access resources, and feel empowered. Like many autism organizations, we focus on building community, offering support, and helping families navigate daily challenges while celebrating every child’s uniqueness. Your donations make a real difference. They help us provide sensory-friendly events, resources for parents, support groups, and opportunities for children to safely socialize and grow. Contributions also help families who may not have access to services or support, ensuring no one feels alone on this journey. Every donation brings us closer to creating a stronger, more inclusive community for neurodiverse families.
I am the mother of a 5-year-old nonverbal son who has been diagnosed with a lifelong neurodevelopmental condition known as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Without access to resources or guidance to help me better understand his diagnosis, I was inspired to create an organization called *Autism Rocs*. Through this journey, I have been blessed to connect with many other parents raising children on the spectrum. My goal is to bring us together in sensory-safe environments where our children—and we as parents—can connect, build community, and support one another. I plan to host monthly meetups, with the opportunity to grow into more frequent gatherings, where families can share experiences, resources, and practical strategies for navigating everyday life. These gatherings will also include opportunities for learning through shared knowledge, resource exchanges, and training sessions to help us better understand and support our neurodiverse children. Together, we can create a safe and uplifting space where no one feels alone in this journey. Donations will go directly toward activity-based field trips and securing safe meeting spaces throughout the DMV area. Additionally, I am excited to offer apparel that not only helps support these efforts but also raises awareness and gives a voice to the autism community. Thank you in advance for your support and generosity. I am deeply grateful to everyone who helps uplift, advocate for, and bring awareness to what our children and families experience and overcome each day.
