<div>This year we are attempting an 8 mile hike on The South West Coast Path, from Abbotsbury Dorset on Saturday 14th September to raise money in Harry’s name. The money we raise will buy tools for bursary students at the Lyme Regis Boat Academy where Harry completed the boat building course in 2016.

<div>IVAR Iskele Voluntary Animal Rescue desperately need urgent help to continue supporting the shelter dogs and street dogs. This is an ongoing fundraiser to ensure the dogs needs are met.

<div>Priority needs include wet and dry dog food, flea and tick treatments and payment of veterinary bills to cover accident and trauma and spey and neuter. Additionally, cleaning products and tools are needed, feed/water bowls, large bowls in the summer to allow the dogs to cool down, and straw in the winter to keep them warm.

<font color="#333333"><span>I am a reporter and recently had the privilege of doing a story about a British war veteran who with the help of his dog rescue organization Breaking the Chains has saved over 3,000 animals in war-torn Ukraine. What Tom &amp; his devoted team have accomplished in six weeks is nothing short of a miracle. Most of the animals are in dire need of medical attention and shelter, which is why Tom &amp; Breaking the Chains are now building their own shelter in Ukraine that will house some 500 dogs and cats. Your donations will help create this much needed shelter that will include a surgery room, medical equipment &amp; supplies, along with antibiotics, medicine and vaccinations. Breaking the Chains have leased a large plot of land in a safe zone where they intend to live with the animals for the next two plus years. On a regular basis, Tom and his team travel long distances throughout the most dangerous areas of Ukraine, where they retrieve injured animals from destroyed shelters and collect abandoned dogs and cats roaming the empty streets. With your help, Breaking the Chains can continue their mission of saving the forgotten animals of Ukraine &amp; eventually helping them find their forever homes. <br /><br /><br /><br /></span></font>

<div>He was found with a broken jaw and leg... He has fully recovered and is spayed too. One of his back legs is still a bit weak but that is mainly because or his weight and nothing else could be done treatment wise. He seems like a giant but is very gentle. He has never lived indoors before but I am sure he will adapt if love attention and care is given

Oakley travel to the UK

The animal welfare in North Cyprus is currently well below that of the western world. The lucky strays in Kyrenia may end up at the KAR Rescue Centre which is run with no government funding. However, for all the strays outside that area there is very little or no hope! There are also many more living rough in the streets, if they haven't been already shot or poisoned!<br />Therefore, what I'm hoping to achieve is raise as much funding as possible to help us to help these lost souls. <br /><br />Part of the problem here in North Cyprus is that many of the local people don't believe in neutering and generally euthanasia is not supported here unless an animal is very sick and can't be saved. So you can see where the source of the problem lies, but we are dealing with the symptom, far too many unwanted dogs and puppies!<br /><br />We are very lucky in Famagusta in that we have a very supportive local council which is in the process of building a purpose built animal shelter. When it is finished, we will be able to relocate our dogs into the kennel blocks out of the temporary pound they are in just now. <br /><br />The local council also supplies food and water for the dogs, however, they rely almost exclusively on voluntary labour to muck out, feed, water and medicate over 300 dogs and puppies 7 days a week, 12 months a year!!!<br /><br />You can imagine what life is like for these dogs and puppies which are getting dumped daily? At least these are the luckier ones as they are safe, fed and watered and if sick get the veterinary care. They don't have what every dog should have and thats a home to call their own. Dogs shouldn't have to live like this and we try to enrich their lives wherever we can while they are at FARC. <br /><br />What what we aim to to at FARC is make our dogs lives a little more comfortable by providing kennels, bedding, doggy pools, toys etc. Out ultimate goal is to rehome as many as possible to wherever that may be and we can't do all this without your wonderful support.<br /><br /><br />SO PLEASE CONTRIBUTE WHATEVER YOU CAN AFFORD NO MATTER HOW LITTLE, IT COULD MEAN SUCH A DIFFERENCE TO AT LEAST ONE OF OUR 300+ DOGS AND PUPPIES?<br /><br />Thank you so much for caring too, we all at FARC really appreciate your support.<br />With love from everyone at FARC x
