<div>We are a group of dedicated paramedic students whose futures were unexpectedly thrown into uncertainty after the sudden loss of our educational program. Many of us have invested countless hours, sacrificed time with our families, balanced jobs, and taken on financial burdens to pursue our dream of becoming paramedics and serving our communities.

<div>We entered this program with one goal: to complete our education and become healthcare providers capable of answering calls for help during people’s worst moments. Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control, <strong>we are now being forced to seek placement in new programs in order to continue our education.</strong>

<div>Transferring is not simple. Many of us now face additional tuition costs, application fees, books, uniforms, travel expenses, and unexpected financial barriers. Some students may even have to repeat coursework or relocate to continue pursuing this career path.
</div>
<div>Many of the paramedic students also attempted to seek financial assistance, guidance, and stability in order to transfer into other programs and continue our education. Unfortunately, little to no support or solutions were provided to help students navigate this sudden transition. Many of us are now left struggling financially and emotionally, unsure of how we will afford to transfer or continue pursuing the careers we have worked so hard toward

Help local paramedic students finish what they started

Volunteer firefighter Mike King, a member of the Oneida Valley Fire Department, has always put his community first. While responding to a call, Mike was struck by a falling tree that forced him into oncoming traffic, resulting in a devastating accident. He suffered numerous fractures, lacerations, and other serious injuries that require multiple surgeries. Mike now faces a long and uncertain recovery, with an extended hospital stay and the possibility of time in a rehabilitation center ahead. During this difficult time, Mike and his wife Kryssy are facing mounting expenses.

 The funds raised will help cover medical bills, rehabilitation costs, and daily living expenses while Mike is unable to work. Your support will help ease their financial burden so they can focus on Mike’s healing and recovery. As a community, we rally together to show our love and support for those who risk their lives for us every day. Mike has given so much as a volunteer firefighter, and now it’s our turn to give back. Every share and donation is deeply appreciated and will make a real difference for Mike and Kryssy.

<div>They lost their entire home in a fire today, 7/13/23. It was a total loss and also it is their son Kaliburs 7th birthday.

<div>They also lost their 13 year old dog, jack russell terrier, Diesel. As well as their ball python in the fire.

<div>They lost everything except for their vehicles and their clothing on their backs.

On April 28th Tyler and Taylor suffered major loss from an apartment fire in West View boro. Much of the building was completely destroyed. Tyler works as an EMT for Ross/ Westview EMS and runs as a firefighter at Berkeley Hills Fire Company and West View #3.  These events are always tragic, but even more so when it happens to one of our own members who works everyday to help others in need. Any help is greatly appreciated to get this young couple back on their feet. Thank you!
