<div>Randi Lee's home was destroyed by the devastating flooding in the valley on August 18th. Less than 2 years into owning her first home with her 3 year old son, the normally idyllic stream next to her house rose to completely demolish the base of their home, washing away all of their possessions. They do not have flood insurance, and are not receiving any money from home insurance.

Hi. You might be here from the semi-viral video on Tiktok making a lighthearted joke about the fact that my dad had a stroke watching the presidential debate last night. This sparked an explosion of both sympathetic and funny comments that truthfully made my night a bit easier. 

However, after further discussion and airlifting him to a bigger hospital with neuro specialists, we are actually dealing with a brain bleed. This is a bit worse, as it has left him unable to talk or walk. My dad is the only working person in my family, as he worked hard his entire life to give my mother the luxury of being a stay at home wife and mother to me (the only child). 

I’m glad to receive the support from the Tiktok I made trying to poke fun at the situation, but now that it is a bit more serious, commenters have suggested making a Gofundme. We have been quoted $25k for the helicopter airlift, and already had to pay $1,000 upfront. We have no idea how much more costs will be as he will potentially have a lengthy stay in the ICU, as well as needing rehab, physical therapy, and speech therapists to learn how to function again. We do have 80/20 insurance coverage that has kicked in, but I’ve estimated the suggested treatments totaling over $100,000 or more. Regardless, my family could use some help. Any money donated will go directly to paying for medical bills and rehabilitation, as well as any supplies/clothes/treatments needed to make his healing process easier.

Help Medical Costs for My Dads Brain Bleed

<div>This young woman is 20 years old and has a 3 and a half year old son. At the age of 15 she began being groomed by a man 8 years older than her. This man was horrible to both her and their son. My wife and her had set up a “safe word” so if things got too bad, she could text it and we would show up to remove them from the situation.

<div>On Friday, October 20th that text came in. We went to get her and she was able to run out of the door with her son while I fought the abuser. They were barefoot and the baby was half clothed when  they got in the car with my wife and took off. After the fight, the police came. The man was taken to the hospital and when he was medically released, jail.

<div>She is now with her family who lives in a different part of the state. She is eager to get back to work, but has a lot to take care of while adjusting to her new normal. The parents of the young man, if you want to even call him that, took her car and the police say it’s a “civil issue”. She has been left with very little. Her phone, smashed. Her clothes, destroyed. Her car, gone (for now).

Help a domestic violence survivor start over

<div>Many of us know Smug Nurse from TikTok for her sassy responses and fighting covid and vaccine mis/disinformation. While now she needs our help. On Saturday April 22, 2023 she was hospitalized for a cerebellar stroke. Since then she has had a procedure to place a shunt to help relieve some of the pressure on her brain, and we are hoping that it can be removed and that she is discharged soon. She is talking and doing ok, but faces a long road of recovery. As a single mom who works as a nurse (but her company just closed down), she is going to be out of work for a while. She could really use the help of the communities we have built so she can afford groceries, rides to physical therapy, and will soon be out of her insurance. She had employment lined up after the closing of her company however, she was unable to start just yet. Please help by donating or sharing to help lift some of the stress she may face during this very tough time. Thank you!

Resulting in the death of Krystal, Sherrie, and Bailey. Leaving two of Krystal and Tony’s daughters injured. At dusk the night of July 14th would forever be etched in my sisters mind. She was with her daughter and nieces talking a walk through her local park. They were walking there fur babies and one named Opal had gotten lose. She was wear a full body harness and some how wiggled her way out of it. A man was speeding down the road, way above the speed limit, hit her, and drove off as fast as he could. He Never stopped. They rushed Opal to the Closest ER vet, which happened to be 45 miles away in Connecticut. Opal made it, she wants to fight! Her jaw had been broken and they are talking about a  possible spinal injury that could be present and she needs surgery. The 1st thing the vet mentioned was if they did not have the funds, they should put her down. She is under a year old. She wants to live. They had to pay scramble to pay 3000 up front just to give her IVs. The costs could raise all the way to about 10,000 with surgery. I am trying to raise the money so they don't have to sell there house to pay for their fur babies doctor bills. If we can raise the money and make more, we will donate any left over money to an animal shelter. Anything right now will help! The will not perform surgery unless they have the funds upfront. My family is scrammbling.

Opal's Vet so they can save her

On June 21st, 2020 heaven gained an angel that will forever be near and dear to our hearts. To capture the beauty of Jaylon-DeVine William Nixon is a nearly impossible task. Jaylon embodied love, strength, compassion, loyalty, and passion. He truly loved with his whole heart and fiercely shared his love deeply with his family, friends, and any person that had the privilege to see his heart and welcome his genuine smile. Jaylon was a genuine soul, truly, one of a kind. He was his own man, with a strong voice, and a personality that we loved. He spoke his truth and made sure we could each do the same. To describe the impact that Jaylon had, has, and will always have on our lives is a task which is incredibly challenging to put into words. Simply put, his presence lit up every single room he entered. There was not one person that did not feel the kindness that radiated off of him. To his siblings, he was a role-model that took it upon himself to be a source of strength, a caretaker, and a defender. To his mother, he was her heart. To his father, he was his best friend. To his siblings, cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents, and friends, he was a light that never dimmed. Every aspect of Jaylon was resilient, loving, and strong. Jaylon was a fighter. If a struggle came his way, he persevered. If a challenge came our way, as a family, he held us up and pushed us forward. He had a relentless spirit that always stopped to take a moment to make his family smile and laugh. Jaylon was the first to say I love you, the first to check in on you, the first to stand with you, and the first to offer a shoulder of support. He never judged. His love was intentional, powerful, and endless. In sharing moments with one another, we will always remember the way that Jaylon inspired each of us. The way he had our backs in moments of weakness. The way he smiled. The way he stood for what he believed in. The way he loved his family and uplifted each of us every possible moment he could. Our memories of Jaylon are filled with endless moments in which he took it upon himself to fill our hearts; to show us what it means to love unconditionally through a laugh, a smile, a joke, a hug, or a handshake. Jaylon-DeVine was true to his namesake, he was a divine-human in more ways than we can possibly count. The Valentin and Nixon family have quite the legacy to uphold.<br /><br />As a family, we are struggling immensely to come to terms with this loss while finding a way to truly honor the incredible young man that Jaylon-DeVine William Nixon was and will forever continue to be. Reflecting on Jaylon’s relentless strength and love for others we know that he would want us to come together to love each other, to support one another, and to live our lives with purpose and passion. <br /><br />At this time, we would like to give people the opportunity to honor his life by donating to support scholarships in the sports that he loved being a part of such as swimming and football, and also to provide support to his family. We have asked both coaches Ed Heath (Diving &amp; Swimming) &amp; Kevin Fredricks (Football) to guide us in this decision making.<br /><br />This beautiful tribute was written by his siblings &amp; cousins after they all told each other how special Jay-Jay was to them. In honor of Jaylon-DeVine

Brian and I are so excited to begin our journey to expanding our family.  After a few months of soul searching, and exploring our options, we are more convinced than ever that we want to have our own babies.  The only problem is that we need a uterus, and eggs... which we can get, but the process is not cheap.  As teachers, we don't have an extra 80 - 100K lying around.  So we are asking for assistance to make our dream of becoming parents a reality.  In March, Brian and I will have our first of many visits to the Center for Advanced Reproductive Services.  All of the money raised will go towards the costs of eggs, fertilization, compensation for a gestational carrier (surrogate), and medical tests that we will have to go through throughout the process.  <br /><br />Your support means so much to us.  We are so lucky and grateful to have people in our lives that we know will surround our baby with love and care.  Each of you who donates, will have a little part in our family's story.  Please know how thankful we are for your help and generosity.

Ms Hollis.<br /><br />Many of us knew Holly, most more than I.<br /><br />I've tried many times here, so many things to say.<br /><br />Last night our Hollis was taken from us.<br /><br />   That girl with the contagious smile. That girl that got a hug from me every time I seen her, even if she was behind the counter at South End Cumby's.  That beautiful daughter, sister, friend.... My cousin's best friend, every day companion. That girl with a smile when you need one most.<br /><br />I keep thinking this is crazy. I see her mother crying and her father lost and I think "this is crazy, Holls is at Cumby's with Luke and Josh and and and".....this isn't real.  This just isn't, can't be.....real. I'll just go pick her up and bring her home, this isn't real.<br /><br />Unfortunately, it is real.<br /><br />I'm asking those of you that knew Hollis to help out her family in this horrible, horrible time.  As a parent I can't imagine having to lay my child to rest, I just can't. <br /><br />So I ask that we make this as easy for Ruth and Rob as possible.
