<div><strong>Ryden is 7, is currently missing school, and is trying to be a copilot, but that's really hard for her.</strong> Miles, who is four years old and has unique needs, and Gracie, an infant, are both on the road with my mom, who is making this journey alone. Managing three children, a dog, and a long drive is incredibly difficult, especially since my mother struggles to see at night and cannot safely drive straight through.

<div>My goal is to meet them along their route—preferably in Topeka or Hays, Kansas—to make the trip easier and safer for everyone. While I do have a truck with insurance and registration, it is not fuel-efficient and presents challenges for such a long trip. <strong>If a safe ride is available or if anyone is able to contribute in any way, it would be a tremendous help so my mom and children can get back home more quickly.</strong> Ryden is missing school, Gracie is teething and exhausted from the drive, and Miles, who doesn’t fully understand what’s happening, is anxious and trying to find us.

His kindness has made a difference for so many. Jacob’s mom, Mandi McClurg, is another person who gives selflessly. She’s supported those in need and has done so quietly, without expecting anything in return—even when it meant sacrificing her own transportation and phon.Sometimes, acts of kindness go unnoticed, and it’s easy to take them for granted. We’ve all faced tough times when we needed a fresh start, and Jacob is at that crossroads now. Coming to community corrections is overwhelming, and making positive choices can be hard when your environment doesn’t chang.Jacob needs a wide range of support: leads on jobs, hygiene items, clothes, shoes, food, rides, or opportunities for safe, fun activities. If you can help with any of these or have experience to share that might benefit his journey, it would mean so much. Support Jacob McDow's Fresh Start

My name is Jess, and I’m reaching out for help to find a stable home for my family. After our previous place was sold, we had no choice but to move out, and since then, life has been a daily struggle. Right now, my husband, our three kids—Ryden, Miles, and Gracie—my mom, and I are split between a tiny camper and my mom’s small house. The camper is parked in a backyard, and there’s barely enough space for us all. Most nights, my husband and I take turns sleeping in the only bed, while the kids sleep on a worn-out couch and a cot. Some nights, I end up sleeping in my car because there just isn’t enough room.

 This situation has been especially hard on my son, who is autistic and needs routine and structure. My baby daughter Gracie doesn’t have a proper place to sleep, and my older kids are struggling without the stability of a real home. We can’t even cook inside the RV—we rely on electric plates and a grill outside. The cold weather is making things even harder, and the cost of propane, water, and storage is draining what little we have. My husband works full time, but it’s just not enough to get us into a new place, and my credit score keeps getting us denied for apartments, even though our rental history is good.

 We’re hoping to find a two- or three-bedroom apartment or house—anything that would give us a safe, warm place to live together again. Our dream is to be settled by Halloween, so our family can finally have some stability and be ready for the holidays ahead. Having a home would mean everything to us: it would bring back routine, privacy, and the comfort of knowing we’re safe. Any support will help us get back on our feet and give our kids the stability they deserve.

On July 24th, Krystal’s family was struck by an unimaginable loss. After a wonderful family reunion honoring her mother’s 70th birthday and her own birthday just days after, Krystal unexpectedly passed away while traveling home Thursday morning. The shock and heartbreak have left her family—her five children, mother, siblings, nieces, and nephews—facing a future without her light and laughter. Krystal was the light in any room, always ready with a laugh and a smile, and her absence is deeply felt by everyone who knew her.

 As her loved ones begin to navigate this difficult time, they are also faced with the immediate challenges of arranging her cremation, providing her ashes to her children, and planning a beautiful service to honor her memory. There are also travel expenses for her children and immediate family to attend the service, ensuring they can say their goodbyes and find comfort together. The family is still working through the details, but the need for support is present as they grieve and plan the next steps.
